BarretM asked in another thread about a politicians in the US making moves towards getting the "big six"* cartels offically listed as foreign terrorist organizations.
Im sure I read an article about this like a year or so ago? (I'll have to dig for it) I know that people have been talking about the terroristic tactics employed by so called "narco-terrorists" for years.
Anyway, US Rep. Michael McCaul recently introduced a bill proposing just that;

As the article says, Mexican Ambassador to the States Arturo Sarukhan disagreed vehemently and made his offence known in a letter to the editor of a Dallas newspaper. I guess the latest outrage hadn't been recent enough, because a day after the casino firebombing, Felipe Calderon himself declared them terrorists in a nationally televised address.
