Goddamn. Speaking of the cartels, it's corrupted assholes like this one that help make them so viable. Its just way too naive to assume there's not many more like him. http://www.lcsun-news.com/las_cruces-news/ci_18761638 There's some serious shit going on Mexico. And has been for way too long.

BarretM asked in another thread about a politicians in the US making moves towards getting the "big six"* cartels offically listed as foreign terrorist organizations. Im sure I read an article about this like a year or so ago? (I'll have to dig for it) I know that people have been talking about the terroristic tactics employed by so called "narco-terrorists" for years. Anyway, US Rep. Michael McCaul recently introduced a bill proposing just that; http://articles.cnn.com/2011-04-15/world...ana?_s=PM:WORLD *Being the Arellano Felix, Beltran Leyva, Michoacana, Sinaloa, Gulf Cartel/New Federation and Los Zeta's cartels. As the article says, Mexican Ambassador to the States Arturo Sarukhan disagreed vehemently and made his offence known in a letter to the editor of a Dallas newspaper. I guess the latest outrage hadn't been recent enough, because a day after the casino firebombing, Felipe Calderon himself declared them terrorists in a nationally televised address. http://www.chron.com/news/nation-world/article/Calderon-Casino-killers-terrorists-2143473.php

If americants stopped buying mexicant drugs and selling them weapons there would be no cartels. You have a point about the drugs, though the Mexicans are increasingly finding new markets overseas. But it's not like the cartels couldn't obtain weapons elsewhere if no more guns went south across the border. yes thats true. they keep finding ndrangetha clans working together with cartels. and 80% of european coke comes from the nrangetha.

Five arrested in connection to the casino firebombing. http://edition.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/americas/08/29/mexico.attack.arrests/ The five arrested (Luis Carlos Carrazco Espinosa, 25; Javier Alonso Martinez Morales, alias "el Javo," 37, from Monterrey; Jonathan Jahir Reyna Gutierrez, 18; Juan Angel Leal Flores, 20; and Julio Tadeo Berrones, 28, alias "El Julio Rayas.") are said to be members of Los Zeta. Apparantly they confessed to being involved in the bombing after the owner refused their extortion attempts.

It seems as though the Zetas captured gave up info very quickly and it leads me to believe that they probably didn't feel safe on the streets (not that jail in mexico is any safer)after what they had done. I think the intent was to fire bomb the place without killings innocents, apparently the gunmean tried to scare people out the door but instead they fled to the back of the building and got trapped. I would imagine the plaza boss is not happy with the outcome.

What makes me really sick is this article, a group called La Barredora out of Acapulco is extorting hardworking, innocent school teachers. Check it out... Acapulco school extortion

What makes me really sick is this article, a group called La Barredora out of Acapulco is extorting hardworking, innocent school teachers. Check it out... Acapulco school extortion Acapulco/Guerrero area is the most heartbreaking and violent area in Mexico, that's were the human masks and skinning were happening and now this. CIDA and La Barredora were the thugs/killer of La Barbie that refused to be under Montemayor or under the Beltran Leyvas, all these splintered groups "La Barredora, La Mano Con Ojos and CIDA" were the security forces of Arturo Beltran Leyva. I hope of the major cartels goes in there to clean up the mess and maintain order but Acapulco/Guerrero area is too hot, it's not worth the risk.

see my whole theory is that if the zetas are as weak as people say they are how come the other cartels like Gulf and Sinaloa - and little localized splinter cells loyal to them - are going full force with their anti-Zeta campaign? It certainly has nothing to do with the horrible shit the Zetas do because CDS/CDG do the same things. Leads me to believe that the Zetas are just constantly growing in numbers and influence . I could be wrong as i don't follow the situation closely at all...just an outsider perspective What do you mean? CIDA, La Barredora, Mano Con Ojos and Nueva Generation are with no one, the nasty war in Acapulco is mainly between CIDA and La Barredora, I don't think any major cartel is there, mabye Beltran Leyvas but I doubt it. La Mano Con Ojos was/is fighitng JJ's crew, the Mexican government states that JJ was part of Barbie's crew which he himself(La Barbie) was part of the Beltran Leyvas but in reality, JJ was never part of the Beltran Leyvas he was more of an associate of them (La Barbie). Now Nueva Generation is/was Nacho Coronel's crew but I think they are allied with Sinaloa/or are still part of them. Los Zetas are not weak at all, I believe they are the second strongest criminal organization in Mexico, hell they are even fighting the Sinaloa Cartel in Cohuila and Sinaloa, fighting the Gulf Cartel in Nuevo Leon and Tamaulipas.

What makes me really sick is this article, a group called La Barredora out of Acapulco is extorting hardworking, innocent school teachers. Check it out... Acapulco school extortion During the day Monday reappeared several narcobanners in the port of Acapulco, Guerrero, authorities learned of the situation thanks to several anonymous calls that warned the narcomensaje, so I immediately went to police elements address the reports. The narcobanners appear after an alleged group crime began to blackmail teachers of schools in the port and requiring them to pay floor to teach, if they do not threaten that they will do badly. One of the narcobanners found hanging in the entrance Building Coordination of Educational Services belonging to the southern Acapulco Coyuca. Another appeared in the Federal School 9, located in the colonial city reborn. Another was also seen in the colony Postal Telesecundaria, plus a blanket was hung on the Federal Secondary School 1, among other places. The story became heavy a few days ago, as members of organized crime sent a letter to one of financial managers in the Ministry of Education Public Acapulco, the text asked to provide copies of the IFE credential (which was legible ), plus phone numbers of teachers , a copy of the payroll. Local media reported that about 80 schools in the region decided to suspend classes because many teachers said they would not continue with school because they wanted to collaborate with extortion. Text narcobanners full of " VICTOR AGUIRRE GARZĂ“N STOP SIGNING FOR THE BELTRAN LEYVAS AND ZETAS. STOP EXTORTING TEACHERS, THE SINALAO CARTEL DOES NOT EXTORT"- THE Calentana
