Thats interesting, so about 40 out of 200. Do you think in say the 70s about 80% of made guys had murdered? I know often you had to do that to get made.
Even back in the 1970's, I think 80% of members having participated in a murder is probably too high. At one time it may have been a prerequisite to participate in a murder. Of course, that doesn't mean you had to be the guy who pulled the trigger. But that hasn't been the case for years now. There aren't enough murders that need to happen. And it's smarter for the families to keep only a relative few taking care of hits anyway. That's one thing the feds said about the Genovese family. They keep their hit teams small.
