But, in any case, Sonny's exclamation was premature because he shouldn't have expected Sollozzo to mention the Tattaglia's percenatge at that point in the proposal. Although such a percentage would have been customary in such a deal, it was a detail that would have only come up later if Vito had okayed the deal. However, I've never felt comfortable interpreting his exclamation as eagerness.
