This is shocking and sad news. Al Davis was easy to dislike, but the man did so much for football, the least of which providing fans all over the country with a man and team to have fun hating. Sports are better with guys like Mr. Davis and George Steinbrenner.
My fantasy team name was a sarcastic choice, but it takes on a whole new meaning now that the man is gone. I will miss Al Davis, in a very unusual way.
really shocking since their was news (or maybe i was wrong) that al davis wanted to move the raiders back to the los angeles.
also too a month or two ago al michales made an statement about the raiders not winning the superbowl till davis is dead.
