Looks like they're at least trying to make Depp look like Bulger.

Depp can be fine when he isn't prancing around in make up and hair extensions trying to channel Keith Richards.

Depp is a fucking clown.

@Della that's right, I had completely forgotten about that. What a pathetic choice for a film.

The only reason people want to see movies about Tony Accardo is because of those ridiculous Bill Roemer books, in which he paints Accardo out to be some type of Mafia Superhero who could fly & walk on water.

Regarding Chicago, I'd like to see a film about the Jeep Daddino hit that never took place, and that led to Mario Rainone flipping & pretty much sending the entire Outfit Brass off to the can in the early 90s.

I think a movie about Scarpa and whole 3rd Columbo war would be great. Maybe they could do something spanning a time-frame in an epic, going from Gallo on up to the 3rd war.

Hopefully they could tell the truth about DeVecchio without him suing (though the standard of evidence is looser in civil court, it would certainly be a bad move for him to get all of his dirty laundry exposed through a "truth defense" that a libel case requires)

This life of ours, this is a wonderful life. If you can get through life like this, hey, thats great. But it's very, very unpredictable. There are so many ways you can screw it up.-Paul Castellano (he would know)

A movie about Nicky Scarfo would be interesting to watch! And have the actor from American Hustler play him, Jeremy Remer who played the Mayor.

Frankie Valli would OWN the Scarfo role.

MORGAN: Why didn't you fight him at the park if you wanted to? I'm not goin' now, I'm eatin' my snack.
CHUCKIE: Morgan, Let's go.
MORGAN: I'm serious Chuckie, I ain't goin'.

A Rizzuto movie would be pretty cool, but, it's probably too soon. I'd (unfortunately) give it another 10-15 years. Too many people who would need to be portrayed are still embroiled in the life and probably ongoing investigations in Montreal. I suppose you could do a movie more about Nick than Vito but even then there's a ton of overlap, it'd be hard to do. Not to mention such a movie would be inviting fair comparisons to The Godfather -- having a multi-generational mob flick wherein leadership is passed through hereditary succession -- in any case, good luck selling a movie set in Canada to American and European audiences. Nobody who isn't already a mob enthusiast cares much about a mafia faction in Quebec.

Besides, there's still a lot of untouched history from New York. Although, personally, I would love to see a movie based in Italy during Toto Riina's reign.

Yeah plenty of stories, but not enough actors! i always thought pacino would be perfect as scarfo - or pesci. but both are too old now.... Always wanted to see de niro as johnny roselli - he really has an interesting story.

A more likely one would be michael imperioli as joey merlino. I would pay good money to see that.

A well done story of Giuseppe Morello and the beginnings of the Mafia in the states sounds like a good one. Either that or the Nicky scarfo one.

I was thinking of the bonnanos too, but mostly focused on Massino:

One of the NY mafia families is kicked off the commission and left for dead because they were infiltrated by a federal agent and their family is largely made up of drug dealers. One capo (Massino) takes control of the family, takes them underground, changes all the rules and brings them to the top of the country's crime hierarchy. And he does all this, just to later get caught and become a rat.

I'd rather have a good actor play the role of a mobster than just pick a guy that looks the part (Frankie Vallie as being a good example of what I'm talking about).

Valli played a mobster in several seasons of the sopranos. So it's not as if he doesn't have the pedigree...

Colombo's easily for me. Specifically, Scarpa. I guess they are doing the movie on him now. I just hope its one of those 3 hour long mobster movies, where they cover alot of ground and don't leave any important parts out.

It would be interesting for the movie to deliver in a deal with the devil type style. Where you see Scarpa talking to the feds and the stories he would tell, then it pans out and you see what really happened. Kinda like they did with Tony when he was in his therapy sessions.

Just cover everything in 3-3 1/2 hours. Could be phenomenal if they do it right. First they need to let Stallone go.

I'd like to see an original mob film that isn't based on a true story (Can be inspired by real events) and is set in the present day.

Frank Valli is 80 years old and has about twenty minutes of uninspiring performances playing off little carmines ridiculous comments. You want him to star in a movie? I get that they have a resemblance but I just don't see it.

There has to be a thousand good stories out there. I would like to see a well made movie about Roy DeMeo and Gaspipe Casso. Even a good well made movie about Gotti other than this TV stuff which has been over done about him and his crew. Vinnie Gorgeous would be good but maybe a little short
