Depp is a fucking clown.
@Della that's right, I had completely forgotten about that. What a pathetic choice for a film.
The only reason people want to see movies about Tony Accardo is because of those ridiculous Bill Roemer books, in which he paints Accardo out to be some type of Mafia Superhero who could fly & walk on water.
Regarding Chicago, I'd like to see a film about the Jeep Daddino hit that never took place, and that led to Mario Rainone flipping & pretty much sending the entire Outfit Brass off to the can in the early 90s.

I think a movie about Scarpa and whole 3rd Columbo war would be great. Maybe they could do something spanning a time-frame in an epic, going from Gallo on up to the 3rd war.
Hopefully they could tell the truth about DeVecchio without him suing (though the standard of evidence is looser in civil court, it would certainly be a bad move for him to get all of his dirty laundry exposed through a "truth defense" that a libel case requires)
This life of ours, this is a wonderful life. If you can get through life like this, hey, thats great. But it's very, very unpredictable. There are so many ways you can screw it up.-Paul Castellano (he would know)

I think a great story is that of the Bonanno's rise and fall with Joe Bananas and their rise and fall with Joe Massino....even though Massino turned out to be a huge hypocrite and rat, the fundamental changes that he instilled in family structure will ultimately help the families in the long run. I was thinking of the bonnanos too, but mostly focused on Massino: One of the NY mafia families is kicked off the commission and left for dead because they were infiltrated by a federal agent and their family is largely made up of drug dealers. One capo (Massino) takes control of the family, takes them underground, changes all the rules and brings them to the top of the country's crime hierarchy. And he does all this, just to later get caught and become a rat.
