If you mean fewer bench positions, then HELL NO! I had to scramble for a TE after my starter was Out and my backup on Bye. Got 1 whole point from the FA pool, and had to remove a bench player for that 1 point.
I WAS pretty close to beating the #1 team, but it'd take a miracle tomorrow. In any event, the bench is your lifeblood and what makes your team a winner or a loser after the draft.
Edit: Of course, Aaron Rodgers on your opposing team apparently makes you a loser, regardless.
If we had smaller number of bench positions there would be much higher number of free agents. So folks would be able to get better players. Also there would be a premium on knowing which players to play for a given game. This would be magnified with fewer teams of course but all in all I think it would make things more competitive. Right now if a person doesn't schedule their players they can have a huge impact on other teams because of the long benches. Give it up or turn it loose I say.
