I haven't seen his show but am finding him hilarious. Check out his version of Justin Beiber (referring to woman's claim that JB fathered her child. The guy cracks me up.

Man loses 200 lbs in 10 months b/c of bet with wife.
Quote:
When Fulton, New York resident Jay Wornick set out to lose some weight at the urging of his wife, he didn't have high hopes. Weighing in at more than 360 pounds this past January, Wornick thought, at best, he'd lose 20 or 30 pounds and then put it back on. But that wasn't the case. Not by a long shot. Now, a little more than 10 months later, Wornick has lost close to 200 pounds. He weighs just 168 pounds and is still adjusting to his new life as a slender man.
According to a buzzy blog from Syracuse.com, Wornick still can't help but examine booths in restaurants to see if he'll be able to fit in them, even though he now can easily shift into the open space with room to spare. He's also surprised when somebody accidentally jostles him in a crowd--a far more routine occurrence when he was carrying all that extra weight on his frame.

BANGOR, Maine -- Horror author Stephen King is stepping up to help struggling Maine residents buy heating oil.
The state is facing deep cuts to a federal heating oil assistance program.
The Maine native announced Tuesday that his foundation will work with the three radio stations he owns in the Bangor area to raise $140,000 to buy heating oil for low-income residents.
He's asking listeners to donate $70,000, and the foundation will double it.

Love Stephen King and how he's remained loyal to his home state. I plan on downloading his Kennedy book to the Kindle. It looks like it's going to be a good one.
SB, I just read that story and yes his loyalty to his home state is commendable. I don't know about his book though. Is it about JFK?

I bought it already, Babe. But I don't think I'll get around to it until Thanksgiving weekend, as the book is 849 pages and will take a dedicated reading .

Thanks SB, PB just posted info too on the King link.
Sounds interesting. I use Amazon a lot so may order a copy soon.

EDIT: I see it's release day is 11/22. Gives me chills. I still remember I was in 10th grade English Mrs. Bergstrom's class. Can't help it. Memory is very vivid.

SB, the little things that please us. When I moved to my place a bought a new fridge WITH an icemaker. A first for me. I admit, I love filling cold drinks with lots of ice. It's so easy.
Hey, at least you don't have to defrost fridges anymore? Remember that? My very first fridge (used) was a defrost fridge. I think I had it for 2 months before I updated.

About 100 people are marching through Brooklyn today to protest vandals who torched three cars and scrawled Nazi swastikas in a predominantly Jewish neighborhood, the Associated Press reports.
The vandals set the cars ablaze before dawn on Friday after spray-painting the letters "KKK" on a van, putting swastikas on benches and leaving other anti-Semitic messages on a sidewalk in the Midwood neighborhood, AP says. The marchers were led by New York state Sen. Eric Adams, Rabbi Chaim Gruber, New York City Public Advocate Bill de Blasio, civil rights lawyer Norman Siegel and other community leaders.

That is absolutely horrible. How can people be so hateful? I hope they get these criminals soon.

Agreed. This happened quite close to where I live. Police found 27 empty bottles of Corona beer at the crime scene, and right now they're analyzing the bottles for DNA and fingerprints. They are also checking for any surveillance videos from local residences and synagogues. At least one person shot footage of the flaming cars (this was shown on news shows here), and police are hoping there might be additional evidence from local security cameras.
I hope they get the bastards.

I'm sorry that you still see that kind of hate in this day and age, SV. It's horrible. As you may remember, I spent a lot of time in Midwood when I was working in the funeral business. I still have many friends there, and one of my best friends in the world is a Rabbi at the East Midwood Jewish Center on Ocean Avenue.
Slightly off topic: They mention Rabbi Chaim Gruber. I knew him when he was still working as a minyan. He's a nice kid .

About 10 or more years ago, a few friends and I went to Vegas for a weekend get-a-way type thing (I call it therapy myself) . We were waiting in line for a show as they were slowly letting people in.
At the front of the line was a couple (or even family I'm not sure how many in the group) that didn't speak English well and were trying to communicate to the guy at the entrance kind of slowing up the line.
Anyway, a couple assholes in the rear of the line starting yelling "speak English" or "go back where you came from", "this is American", etc. and comments like that. Everyone else for the most part, in line was appalled at there behavior and some yelled back for these big mouths to shut up. It's bad enough under normal circumstance, but for God's sake, you're talking Vegas where people from all over the world visit. You should expect to see people from all over. I felt badly for these people and wouldn't be surprised if they decided never to visit Vegas (let alone America) again. Some people are simply hateful but I really don't think (hope) they're NOT the majority.

Most people are decent, Tis. There's no question in my mind. But the hateful ones have such a capacity for it, that they almost seem to outnumber the good ones.

So my middle boy, Andrew, had a project to do at school and part of it was to profile the most important people in his life. Top of the list was his mother who got great praise, naturally, for looking after him, cooking, cleaning, washing and all the usual things that mothers do!
Next was Lionel Messi, the great Argentian footballer for inspiring him!
Third was me. For "taking him places"????????
A f--kin taxi service?????
That's all i am??????
I would rather die on my feet than live on my knees!
He probably meant, "Taking me places to do fun things all the time!"
Never mind that, Geoff, it's good to know a cabbie in England. Yogi, if I ever make it across the pond, how much would you charge me to go to Picadilly Circus from Heathrow?

Best advice I can give is for the username, not the password (well, both, actually). Add punctuation! My gmail account and my dad's account via his cable provider both have at least one punctuation mark in the user name, and neither get ANY SPAM WHATSOEVER!
Tho it's probably too late to change your user name, at least change your password to include at least one punctuation mark somewhere. You'll still get spam (cuz you don't need a password to send spam to a username), but it should help against hack attempts...
I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! lol

Taking supplements may lead to poorer health, not because of what they do to your body, but what they do to your mind.
When people take supplements they get a false sense of invulnerability, a new study shows. And that can translate into a greater tendency to head down the path of risky behavior.
The intriguing study published in Psychological Science, found that people didn’t even need to be given real supplements for this devil-may-care attitude to develop – they just needed to be told they were swallowing something healthful.
