Anyone know of any? For those unfamiliar Mercer County is Trenton, Princeton, NJ and their suburbs, while Bucks County is the suburbs of Philly.

I know both are usually Bruno territory, plus some zips around, some DeCavalcante guys (Sam the Plumber himself is buried in Trenton and I believe he lived in Princeton but might be wrong on that) and there has been some activity from NY families (most famously Sammy Gravano killed one or two guys in Trenton).

Chambersburg has changed a lot in the past 20 years, but anyone who lives in the Trenton area and knows anything about these things know there are a couple of gambling spots still around, and a quite well off connected spot in New Hope, PA of all places (obvious if you know the area).

Anyone know of any other spots (feel free to PM me)? Or know of any good little known stories about the area? I find Mercer County interesting in particular because it is the dead center of NJ, and is called either the northern most part of Greater Philly, or the most southern part of Greater NYC.

Dont know if any activity or significance is going on in the Trenton area any more. Trenton for the most part is a ghetto now. A guy by the name of Carl Ippolito used to run Trenton back from the Bruno to the Scarfo era.

Many of the immigrants from Italy settled in Trenton early on and aside from New York at the time it had the most Italian population in the USA for a bit. Many of the Trenton Italian immigrants either made the move to South Philly or had Family and Friends in either or so the Philly presence was always there.

There is big money in bucks county and I do not believe Phila had any control of it ! When I say bucks county ,iam talking new hope,doylestown area! I believe it's many independent operatives !

my buddy from college is from Bucks County, one summer I was out there visiting and we were driving to this restaurant we passed by this house when my friend said "look thats our local Tony Soprano". This house was huge, multiple sports cars/garages, etc. I dont remember what street this was though (im a NY guy, PA is too country for me lol).

Joe Altimari, a Philly associate, use to operate out in Bucks county, but I think he died a few years back. There's a lot of bookies in the Bucks and Delaware county areas who get shaken down by south Philly guys.

Dapper, anything west of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania is basically Alabama or Kentucky. That said, Bucks is basically a suburb, nothing "country" about it.

During the late 70s up until about 1989 or 1990, Albert "Reds" Pontani oversaw Philly's rackets in Trenton. He was very close with Scarfo during the 1970s; I believe Testa proposed him for induction in 1976 or 1977. Pretty sure he died in prison in the late 1990s or early 2000s.

Frank Martines was living up in Bucks county when he was underboss for Stanfa.

Just because the made guy or associates lived in bucks county ,doesn't mean they controlled the big money or even knew where it was ! I agree with when Reds was in the picture , but afterwards I don't believe anyone controlled anything up there ! The guys in phila can't even get a grip on their own city ,let alone think of bucks county or even any of the surrounding areas ! Delco rostra case was small time ! You don't hear of any of these guys hanging in media pa or doylestown or new hope !

I agree with Boardwalk. I was up in that area yesterday theres alot of old money up there (New Hope). The one Sopranos episode when the patsy It hink and someone else go to shake down some modern coffee shop and the black clerk says whose the manager or whatever says listen guys ever bean in this place is accounted for and they walk out.

Trenton once had one of the biggest Little Italy's in the USA w/ Chambersburg, which was a nice area until say the 90s, past 15 years or so it has been on the skid...even the legendary DeLorenzos is closing (I prefer Papas...).

However there are still at least a couple of gambling clubs in the Burg, Trenton is so f'd up w/ gang violence I don't think the cops have time to blink at it.

Yup, also has more run down "shady" areas such as Morrisville (basically a Trenton suburb) and Bristol (where the Breed MC is HQ'd at).

There was some LCN related drug bust in the area in 2002 I wanna say, the guy flipped anyone remember his name. Steve Cardinale or something like that I wanna say?

Steve Carnivale, he was hooked up with Alitmari and was kicking up to Anthony Gagliardi who was close with Gaeton Lucibello. Carnivale and his brother Wally both flipped and wore a wire on Alitmari and Gagliardi.

Yup that was him, also ratted on some Mexican dealers from California if I remember correctly. Too bad for the LCN they can't seem to get much going in terms of heroin anymore since it is so big nowadays in the NorthEast.

And wasn't there a bookie killed in Hamilton, NJ around 95/96? Guy who was a suspect also killed some guy over a drug deal, turned into (or already was) a major crack head and has been picked up over possession. Can't remember the names for my life.
