People say "Scarface is the best movie ever!" all the time. I hear it all the time, at least. And it's not even close to one of the all time greatest films.
I have to agree with you Anthony. I think Scarface is a perfect example of a film that does not pass the test of time. After 20 years to me it seems to be gaining some what of B movie quality. In another 20 years I see it becoming more of a goof movie with a cult like following. The Soundtrack, The look & feel of the film and even Pacino's over the top performance are not aging well. I compare it to a film like "Rebel Without a Cause". Rebel in it's day was considered a great film. Watch it now it is pretty much a comedy.
