I don't recall anything about medical benefits??? Seems to me she'd have enough money even without medical benefits.
At any rate, I do believe she loves Michael and it's not impossible that she also loved her new husband. It's hard to explain, and maybe I'm "different" in that way, but even after a divorce there is still a love of sorts with the father of your children. I guess however, it depends on circumstances. Hell, I don't know.
