Having only daughters, maybe I'd feel differently with a son, I don't know. But I never liked it if my daughter, on a first date with someone, would say, "I'm gonna meet him at wherever. I'd always say, "No, if he wants to date you, he can come to the door and pick you up and meet me." Ha ha maybe old fashioned, but I insisted on it. This of course was when they were teenagers, but even after they were out of school and at home, they usually had no problem with their dates meeting me. I was lucky in that respect.
