Irish, that's why you gotta keep up with it! Get on the stick! Like 2 minutes of your time is gonna kill you every time you write a check. It's just one more step. It's better than spending an hour, after like a week or two.

To the other two: YES, StrongBad's emails are HILARIOUS. I check them more often than I check my own. I love his "accent," whatever it's supposed to be.

No I keep up with my checkbook as soon as I'm done with a transaction. However there was a check that I forgot to account for, plus some of my debit transactions hadn't been represented on my bank statement as of the 10th of the month. So my balance & the balance that my bank gave me as of hte 10th were WAY off. So I had to figure out what the problem was & I'm glad to say I did. I accounted for the check & 2 transactions hadn't gone through yet.

Man I respect you for just keeping up to date with your cheque book. Sod that, I write them and never think about it again. Anyway it's much easier handing over a credit card.

I just spent about $18 that I didn't have to. My friend took me to this pawn shop that he always goes to & picks up DVD's for $4 a piece. Well, he asked for money so I got him one (The Natural), and I got Mr. Destiny, Loaded Weapon 1, and Patch Adams

How weird, that happened to me this month, too. I always compare the balance I calculated, with the balance that they give me online as soon as I get home, just to make sure they match up... and this month, it was WAY off... and it was as of the 11th of the month this time. Usually, it's right on. Do you use Bank of America, by any chance? Or are all the banks off their nut this month?

No I use Compass Bank & they could all be screwed up with the holiday season right around the corner. Who knows?

Bank of America just took over Fleet so there could have been some things that "slipped through the cracks" during the turnover time.

Pretty upset right now. Called a friend from high school who I was planning on seeing Wednesday night. I called her tonight to finalize plans for then & when I originally called her I got her voice mail & left her a message. 2 hours later I called her again & got a hold of her and she said "Hey, can I call you back?" She ALWAYS says that. 2 hours later, no call! Man that broad pisses me off sometimes!

Just like when I guy says "I'll call you" and then doesn't.

At least she didn't say she had to do her hair.

Amen to that. If we don't get together tomorrow, I'm just gonna end the "friendship." I'm tired of this. But now I just took a test that I don't think I did too well on. Now I feel even worse going into the test, thank you very much! Plus I've gotta wait a week to find out how I did.

Well it's just that we've been friends since high school & she always does this. It's not about finding another women friend (b/c that's all we are). I've come close before to cutting ties with her & if I don't hear from her by tomorrow when I get off of work, I'll make sure I cut them this time.

Ya know, she might be like that with everyone... some people just suck at returning calls. I had a friend whose boyfriend eventually broke up with her because she'd be busy when he called, and she'd always forget to call back. Then she'd wonder why he wasn't calling her. I always had to remind her that he did call, like an hour ago, and she blew him off. Some people are just like that.

But that's only the case some of the time. Most of the time, this type of girl is an inconsiderate b*tch who's not worth hanging out with. If you call her again, you'll look pathetic. Play it cool, as if it's her problem if she doesn't call you. Because it is, isn't it? As if life isn't inconsistent enough on its own, you need unreliable friends, too?
