Don't know why but I am surprised that Hugo is getting so many awards. It seems like it wasn't talked about as much as the others.

Mind you TIS, this is the technicals. If the movie had been a hit (it flopped), along with those great reviews, it probably would've been a juggernaut in the "serious" categories.
It won't happen, but I wish Gary Oldman won Best Actor. Great actor, this is unbelievably his first Oscar nomination. And he was splendid in TINKER TAYLOR SOLDIER SPY.
