Ha ha ha! I love Johnny Weismuller. My favorite Tarzan. What's kind of funny is, I didn't realize I had my volume so high. I live an an apartment like condo where units are connected and it's only 8:40 here. I'm thinking I woke the neighbors up. They're probably wondering if Tarzan lives in the area. TIS Are you sure it wasn't Carol Burnett?

Yeah, Tarzan's jungle yell was a bit loud! And the volume on my speakers is not set very high at all. As far as my neighbors, they probably didn't give it a moment's thought - most of them drag their knuckles along the sidewalk when they walk down the street. Fun place, my part of Brooklyn... Anyway, here's an oldie but goodie from The Far Side: Art imitates life (sometimes). Signor V.

"No. Saints and poets, maybe... they do some."

80 degrees. Friday afternoon. In less than an hour I'll be making the drive to Reading, windows down and listening to the Beatles and Springsteen, on my way to my son's opening day high school baseball game. I have the folding chair in the trunk and the diet pepsis on ice, and my Boston College Alumni hat on my head, and look forweard to planting myself somewhere along the left field line with a bag of peanuts. I'll be in my glory. Damm, i am jealous your living the life thats for sure. I have been on spring break for the past week where I was a lazy bum and just enjoyed the lovely weather in Upstate NY. Classes start back up for me on Monday.

I'll be in my glory. Damm, i am jealous your living the life thats for sure. I have been on spring break for the past week where I was a lazy bum and just enjoyed the lovely weather in Upstate NY. Classes start back up for me on Monday. My older son came home from college tonight too. The past three springs and summers he's worked for our local AA baseball team. He's a concessions supervisor, and this is the weekend they train the new help. I really did live the life today, but I should add that most days aren't so fun. It was good to put the daily stress on the back burner. But keep in mind that most of us should be jealous of you because you possess the greatest gift there is: youth. By the way, my younger son's team won 5-4, and he made his varsity debut by pitching the final two innings to get the save. After giving up a run in the bottom of the final inning, he got the batter to pop out with the winning run on base. If the batter had doubled, it would have been a long bus ride home for him.

^^^thats great that his team won, congrats! You brought back some memories.I love baseball, I played both JV and Varsity in High School. I alternatively played centerfield, second base, or starting pitcher. There was this one time that this kid hit this long fly ball that was going to be a homerun, I started running (as centerfielder) to try and jump the fence (no wall) and catch the ball ala ESPN's Baseball Tonight Web Gems. Anyways, I reach the fence and climb up with my free hand and catch the ball with other hand. As I was coming down, my middle finger from the hand that was on the fence got caught and the tip was dislocated. The tip of the finger was like at an angle greater than 180 degrees from the rest of the finger. Needless, to say I held on to the ball. My middle finger ( ) was in a cast for the rest of the year as I attended therapy. That spelled the end of my playing days as I didnt take up playing while in college. Thats what I get for trying to be cool and impress all the chicks in the stands. My middle finger is fine now, it was a very painful experience at the time. I was a decent hitter .280+ and a decent starter with a consistent under 4 ERA. I also played against some current major leaguers as like John Lannan and Cole Kimball who are both with the Nationals now. Best of luck to your kid in his baseball endeavors.

Has anyone heard this?
I was listening to the radio of the way back from the gym and heard that Samsung's smart HD TV has a built in microphone and camera that apparently is linked to a database and can record what is going on in your home. It also records what channels you watch. They say there's no alert to this and no way to turn off the camera, etc.
I also heard that in Brazil, I think, the school uniforms that kids wear have an embedded chip that records when students enter and exit school and can locate them wherever they are. I read about the Brazil school uniforms thing. It is only in a certain area of Brazil where they are testing this to see if it stems the flow of kids cutting school.
