About 90 degrees today. It's hotter than a whore house on nickel night! hmmmmmm. I guess that's hot. 90, too hot for me this time of year. It's been uncharacteristically (that's a long word) warm this winter in South Jersey - no complaints from me. You know its warm when you hear the peepers at night. Those are little frogs. Does anyone else hear peepers?

About 90 degrees today. It's hotter than a whore house on nickel night! No kidding. It was beautiful. I hear another nice day tomorrow and then at least a 15 degree drop in temps. Still, can't bitch. TIS

Few tornado touchdowns and now it's like June weather in March. Something is going wrong... Tornado Cleanup Dexter— Gov. Rick Snyder visited the tornado-damaged Huron Farms neighborhood Friday afternoon, saying the state would assist Washtenaw County in any way it can in the clean-up and rebuilding efforts after a strong tornado ripped through the area Thursday.
"Thank goodness no one was killed or seriously injured," Snyder told reporters, as he was joined by U.S. Rep. Tim Walberg, R-Tipton. "But it's going to be a lot of hard work to help people get their lives back in order and we all want to be part of that."
Snyder also praised how a 26-minute tornado warning likely saved lives Thursday, when a strong weather system moved into southeastern Michigan, producing three tornadoes, including the one in Dexter. The tornadoes were part of a slow-moving storm system packing large hail, heavy rain and high winds that swept from Washtenaw and Lapeer counties and south to Monroe County.
Miraculously, no one was killed or seriously injured in the severe storms on a day that tied the record high of 77 degrees, fueling the system.
"It's really great that people took those warnings seriously and got under cover," Snyder said...
"When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies but the pack survives." Winter is Coming
Now this is the Law of the Jungle—as old and as true as the sky; And the wolf that shall keep it may prosper, but the wolf that shall break it must die. As the creeper that girdles the tree-trunk, the Law runneth forward and back; For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack.

It's only 59 degrees right now with rain/wind forecasted for today and tomorrow (they CLAIM a major winter storm, but we'll see) and drizzle/chance of rain Monday. Good day to be inside. I kind of enjoy rainy days. TIS

[ Of course the weeds are getting an early start in my yard. Tell me about it. A few years ago, we had a wet winter, with plenty of rain and snow. The old-timers here called it the first "real winter" we'd had in a long time, and were ecstatic about about alleviating drought conditions and other benefits. So what happened? All that moisture encouraged growth of wild grasses and weeds all over the state. The summer had a record number of wildfires. You can't win...

Well tomorrow is the first day of Spring so you guys technically had a great winter. Though, I know how it goes and do remember some springtime snow storms. I got a feeling though, you'll all be lucky this year. TIS

Chicago 85, Burlington Vermont 80. Something is very wrong here. Tornadoes? We ain't seen nothin' yet. Run for shelter all you Mid-Westerners. You're right, MC. With the increased heat that we've been seeing, the storms will be getting more severe. Look at what has happened already this year, and it's just March. Generally the big tornado outbreaks don't start until April or May.

Two year ago my CATV box got fried by a lightning hit. My neighbor lost his computer. Queens/Nassau is not safe either.
