Believe it or not I never saw "What's Love Got To Do With It" the story of Ike/Tina Turner starring Angela Bassett and Laurence Fishburn.
I never realized just how awful their relationship was. What a abusive, demanding piece of shit that guy was. He was nothing without her, musically (and nothing otherwise)if you ask me. I remember when they performed together in the beginning, it was always Tina who stood out and Ike was more "background." Anyway, no respect for him whatsoever.
I'm sure everyone's seen it but me, but I must say it was disturbing yet very good.

I saw the movie on tv a few years ago. It was well done, but I don't think I would want to watch it again because of the abuse. You're right about Tina overshadowing Ike.
