If people oppose gay marriage for truly religious reasons, that's one thing.
Of course, you'll notice that much of the pro-gay marriage crowd doesn't even allow us that. It's not because of our religious beliefs. It's because we're just a bunch of hateful jerks. I actually think many of them know this isn't the case but the more they can paint us as simply "hateful," the easier they feel their argument is.
