The psychopath term is more in the modern sense. What Bagarella did, killing, has been done by humans since they walked the earth and is part of humanity.

Well I can certainly see where DeMeo is coming from. You shut down your emotions and do what you have to do for yourself and your family, if that's what it comes down to. This is how mafia operate. They don't let their mind go "there" long enough to feel empathy, they just see what has to be done and do it.

I would give the shirt off my back to help anyone, but at the end of the day, aside from my husband and children, practically everyone is disposable to me.

There are no doubt that a lot of the killers in the mafia are psycopaths. But we must also remember that these killers are used by the mob just like state will use an army and the police to protect its interests.

The brutality comes from the fact that the mafia doesnt own any prisons or write any laws.

Take banking as an example. In the real world, if you borrow from a bank and dont pay them the moneyback, the bank can use the police to enforce some kind of repayment. But if you borrow money from a mafioso and dont pay him the money pack, the mafioso need to hire some guy to come after. And he will be brutal because they want to send a signal that you do pay the mafia what you owe them.

I think these violent soldiers of the mafia are just that, soldier. At any time, them mafia might dispose these psychopaths if they become a nuisance or doesnt obey orders.

Then your best bet is stick to the "real world" and borrow money from a bank.

A lot of people are now being turned down by banks because of circumstances. Some banks in the UK actually charge more then loansharks.

That guy's use of "real world" is really odd IMO - shit doesn't get much more "real" than dealing with loan sharks I'm guessing.

Oleh was comparing borrowing from a bank as opposed to borrowing from the mafia. If you don't want trouble from the mafia, stay away from them and don't do business with them. Simple as that. It's pretty easy to do in the US in this day and age.
