Absolutely, I think this is exactly what happened - "It all goes to black", that's what they discuss with Bobby on the boat, about what happens when you die. There was a guy in the restaurant, who walked in the toilet, behind Tony, that guy was a nephiew I think to some guy Tony whacked. So after all this, I think Tony died, the guy from the toilet shot Tony, and all go to black. There was no gunshot sound, because the bullet is faster than the speed of sound, so Tony didn't heard it.

I took it a different way after much thought, what i put together was that no matter what Tony was fucked in due time especially with Carlo flipping, it was only a matter or time before he was either whacked or sent to prison.

Season six did a lot of dropping guns in mob hits like Michael corleone did. And this is a perfect example. The guy goes in to the toilets like corleone did and comes back out and shoot tony in the back of the head and drops the gun and walk outs

What I don't get is that in the beginning of season six we see Tony barely survive a gun shot wound in the stomach after being in a coma only to be killed at the end. He was basically given a second chance, by surviving nearly the impossible, basically given a second chance to reform, change, etc. But he didn't, and in doing so, pissed away his second chance/redemption and sealed his fate. It's like Vincent in Pulp Fiction. Jules believes that them surviving being shot was a miracle, divine inspiration from God basically a warning, and retires from the gangster life. Vincent doesn't, dismisses God, fate all as chance or luck, stays in the game and gets killed within two days after by Butch.

That's interesting. I never thought that's his second chance. He blew it away. I think you are absolutely correct. He should've retired. (P.s. how is the past form of should? I think I didn't write it down correct?)

I think that second change theory isn't a plausible one as every knew Tony was up his neck in the mob and as a boss couldn't just walk away from it. Couldn't and wouldn't. It's like God giving a guy without two legs an extra arm so he has a change to walk again. Doesn't make much sense.

I didn't understand the scene with Meadow with this car parking so many times, why was that necessary? Simply to build up the suspense. It worked.

Never understood the hoopla over the Sopranos ending, I was content with it, it just ended, I'm glad Chase didn't ruin it with some big hollywood ending shootout like what would of happened on crappy shows like NCIS etc. Also no why would Tony of died? No one is after him at that point, everything is resolved with New York. What is pretty probable is that due to Carlo flipping he will be going away for a long time. Also the thing with Meadow someone mentioned that it built up suspense of her possibly being shot, well this would not happen in the current mafia, family are off limits, and a girl as hot as Meadow?? They wouldn't dare!. Its like the Wire it just ended, things will go on, people need to stop looking for some sort of final result, it was pretty clever from Chase I thought.

It's a clear message by HBO to the American viewers of the end of this era, the era of greed and barbarism, politics and cars. It also carries the evangelic meaning of forgiveness, marriage, corn and misinterpretation.
In the Polish calendar, the day when the final episode aired was known as the day of "the Hog" (animal that clearly resembles Tony), which celebrates the dead ones and it's when locals eat "Pierscienie Smazonymi Cebuli", a sort of dish similar to onion rings. The elder of the family has to eat a total of 86 cebulis (just like the total number of episodes in the series) in not less than 58 minutes (like the airing time of Made In America), to prevent the dead ones to rise and haunt the living.
For all of you who are still skeptical about this: if you read "Members Only" backwards, (the jacket worn by the possible hit man was a members only jacket), you'll be amazed: Ynlo Srebemem means The Fat Guy Will Get Shot in Kurdish.
Enough?
