I was just going to post about what lovely memories I have of our Philly get-together. I actually went and did a search here for the thread about our Philly trip, and then Klyd makes a Sandusky post.

I recommend that anyone going to Philly should make a point to visit the National Constitutional Center. You could spend an entire day without being bored. It's a block or two from the Liberty Bell and close to Independence Hall.

I think you're right. He also used to say, "Here come da judge. Here come da judge."

Yep! He also said, "What you see is what you get!"

That was originally Dewey "Pigmeat" Markham, who brought his old vaudeville routine to Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In where it was also appropriated by Sammy Davis Jr.

But I certainly have fond memories of the 2006 Philadelphia trip. First time I met folks from the BB. Very memorable. I believe there is still a thread with photos somewhere on these boards.

Eh, they make cheesesteaks here in NJ, too wink

Last time in Philly was in February -- saw a show at MilkBoy and really liked the venue a lot. But was reminded that you can never make a left turn in Philly, ever! again, and even my GPS was confused. rolleyes tongue NYC is so much easier to get around...

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol

SB State college is about 4 hours from Philly, so you don't have to worry about Sandusky smling at you with his big bugs bunny teeth!

About 8 years ago I saw The Who and Jimmy Page in North Jersey I forget the name of the arena. Everyone got trashed drinking and taking geltabs/paper hits plus smoking weed and opium ....I remember having to drive my friends car home and when I got to my house I saw the (Ford Explorer Hatch had a Can of Natty Ice, Squashed in it. Luckily We didn't run into any cops...lol Thinking I was ride clean I remember taking my socks off and having a bag of K stuck to ankle due to the humidity. From North Jsresey to King of Prussia, PA

It was. Sammy used to say it.
