What is your school doing for after prom? Oak Glen is going to Cedar Point.

I don't think we're "officially" doing anything. I think a lot of people are going to Kennywood or something.. but uh, I'm not.. because I don't like the people going. There's only a handful of people in my class that I can stand, and they're going to be at my friend's house.. so yeah.

They WERE going to make us stay the night at Mountaineer (that's where our prom's at), but we voted that down. So we can leave at 12:30 and do whatever.

I'm staying the night at my friend, Jocelyn's.. its going to be her, her date, me, my date, and these 2 other kids. I can't wait.

And then I think we're going up to Pittsburgh in the morning.

Next week I'm going on my senior class trip. We're going to Disney World for 5 days. We don't have to stay with chaperones or anything. We can do whatever we want.

Seeing as we're on the "Disney" topic, here's another one:

The 7 Dwarves are standing outside a convent. Then Happy goes and knocks on the door. A nun answers and says "Can I help you, my child?" Happy says "Are there any 3 foot nuns in this convent?" The nun is puzzled, and says "No, there are no 3 foot nuns in this convent." Happy thinks for a minute, then says "Are there any 3 foot nuns in this city?" The nun says "No, there are no 3 foot nuns in this city." So Happy leaves and forms a huddle with the rest of the dwarves. Then a few minutes later, Doc leaves the huddle and goes and knocks on the door. The same nun answers and says "What now?" Doc says, "Ok, are there any 3 foot nuns in this state?" The nun says "No! There are no 3 foot nuns!" Doc thinks, then says "Are there any 3 foot nuns in this country?" The nun is starting to get mad, and says "NO! THERE ARE NO 3 FOOT NUNS!" So Doc leaves and returns to the huddle. A few minutes later, Sleepy goes and knocks on the door. The same nun answers. Sleepy says "Are there any 3 foot nuns on this continent?" The nun says "NO!! HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU??? THERE ARE NO 3 FOOT NUNS!!" Sleepy says "Are there any 3 foot nuns anywhere in the world?" The nun says "NO!!" and slams the door in this face. Sleepy returns to the huddle, then a few minutes later, all the dwarves start running around laughing and chanting "DOPEY SCREWED A PENGUIN! DOPEY SCREWED A PENGUIN!"

I always suspected that the whole Cinderella thing was impossible without old good Cosa Nostra...

I'm disappointed b/c the girl who I was supposed to get together with tonight (Debra), called and said she has to work later than she thought. But she did apologize numerous times as well as reschedule (I think we're gonna try to do something Friday now). A little bummed, but I at least know she was looking forward to hanging out with me

I just finished learning how to play "You Shook Me All Night Long" by AC/DC on my guitar today! I'm so excited! My dad came home, and I said "Dad, check this out!", and I let her rip! It was awesome, almost as awesome as when I pulled off the solo from "Stairway to Heaven."

I can hear a pesky animal trying to get in or get out of my garbage can outside. And don't think I'm gonna go out and open the lid either. I'll make my husband do that when he gets back from Ohio tomorrow.

WOO HOO the Yankees beat the Red Cocks while Schilling got the loss and Mo got the save. It certainly doesn't get any better than that! Did anyone else watch the game? I was watching some of it and I was about to leave to work on homework when it was tied 2-2 in the top of the 6th with Schilling already thrown 94 pitches and Giambi at the plate with 1 on. The crowds all chanting "Steroids" and the next thing you know, the ball clears the fence! That shut the crowd up pretty fast. Not to mention that Bernie Williams came right up behind him and blasted a solo shot himself. And the real boost was when Mo was FINALLY able to shut the door on Boston! I can't wait to see Thursday's game because Johnson's pitching his first game in Boston as a Yankee! Anyone else gonna watch that?

Aren't there threads devoted to that kind of stuff in the Sports section, Irish?

It's been such a gorgeous week so far! And I'm noticing all the flowers and roses and stuff are so much bigger and brighter this spring! I think it's because of all the record-breaking rain we've had this year... It's beautiful. This is spring!! It makes me happy. How can you be in a bad mood with the sun shining, a light breeze making the palm trees sway, and beautiful flowers everywhere?
Although the air pressure's been kinda low. You know the kind, with the headaches and stuff. But you pop a few aspirin and you're fine, no biggie.

I'm so glad for you Zia, having that shining sun and palms with roses - that's great.
But if you have that low pressure... It's low indeed, and clouds... And unlike you I can't take aspirin, it's acid...

Well I NEVER stay up here in college this last. I have a class at 10 am and bolt back home after that and I'm usually back by noon. Well, since I have a lot of senior activities today (such as getting my class ring among other things), I'm up here all day. Which I'm happy about b/c I get to post and I just watched Jersey Girl. I've got this thing at midnight and then I'm driving home. So depending on how long this thing lasts, I might not be home until 2 in the morning. It doesn't really matter to me because I'm a night person anyway. But I'll probably hit the sack as soon as I get back. Tomorrow I just plan on going to church and hopefully chill out with a friend of mine and watch the Clerks Animated Series. I've never seen it before and since this has pretty much been my "Kevin Smith week" I'd like to see it. Sunday I just plan on watching An Evening With Kevin Smith and drive back to school.

I am going to see Starlight Express at the Edinburgh Playhouse tommorow

I had the best time on Friday. Again, I go home on Friday's after class, so I'm usually down there by noon. Well I had to stay up here for some senior activities and I'm so glad that I did. I got my senior ring among doing other things, but I also got to "hang out"/go out on a date with my friend Debra. I called her after the ring ceremony and we had agreed to meet at 7, so I called her just to let her know that I was heading back to my apartment to change and that I'd still be there at 7. Well I get there and she's ready and waiting for me. We walk out to the car and I open the door for her and she does what no other woman has done for me before, she literally leans over in the car and physically opens my car door. I was shocked and said "wow, that has never happened to me before" when I was in the car myself. She said that if a guy opens her door for her, it's the least she can do. Immediately the scene in A Bronx Tale comes to mind with the "door test" and I explain it to her somewhat (I didn't go into too much detail, just the high point). Anyways, while driving to the restaurant (Chili's BTW) she was asking me how me and my family came to live down in Texas, since she knew I was from New York but not the rest of the story.

I explain it to her and clear up any confusion and at once we are at the restaurant. It's about 7:15-7:30 on a Friday night so I knew we'd be waiting for a table. I tell the hostess that I need a table for 2, non-smoking and she tells me to come back for a pager b/c they were all out at that point. So we wait in the doorway talking about roomates and she's doing most of the talking. After a few parties come in with their pagers I go in quickly to grab 1 so I'd know when it was our time. After a few more minutes the pager goes off and I get up and open the door for her to go through. She's still sitting looking at me like what are you doing? I tell her it's our turn and she says "oh." I quickly suggested that she could sit out there and I'd bring her food out to her (you gotta love my sarcastic humor). We get to our seat and right off the bat the waiter is totally awesome! I haven't had a waiter this friendly, probably ever (let alone on a date, with a restaurant full of people on a Friday night). I allow her to order her drink first (a Dr. Pepper), for which I have the same. After the drinks are served he takes her order followed by mine (I had the boneless buffalo wings). In any case, I had a class with this girl last semester and kinda knew of her, but didn't really know her as a person. Anyways, I think we were talking about a mutal friend and somehow we got on the subject of movies and the conversation just went on from there. The entire dinner and most of the evening was spent discussing movies. I asked what her favorite movie or at least one of her favorite movies was. She couldn't think of her favorite but told me that Schindler's List was up there, to which I agreed with. She's more of a musical/romantic genre type of movie watcher. Definitely not my favorite but she asks me my favorite movie, to which I reply is Scarface. Anyways, we're just going back and forth the entire time and I thought it was a great conversation. She even gave me a great compliment (don't know if it was meant as a compliment but I took it as one in any case). She asked me "if you know all of this stuff about movies, why aren't you majoring in that." I thought it was sweet since we had only been talking about movies for a couple of minutes. We ate our dinner and continued our conversation, but after the meal and 3 Dr. Pepper's I was ready to hit the bathroom (I have the bladder of a child). We talk a little while longer and finally leave. We had only been hanging out for an hour and a half and I didn't have anything to do for at least another 2 and a half hours. During the dinner I brought up how The Usual Suspects is 1 of my favorite movies and she said she had never seen it, but heard from a lot of people that it was good. So when we get back in the car I ask her if she has any other plans for the night to which she says no. I ask her if she wants to watch The Usual Suspects and she says yes, however I tell her that my roomate took his DVD player home for the weekend, so she calls her roomate who was in her apartment and asked her if she minded if we watched the movie and she said no.

She we drive to Blockbuster and rent the movie even though I own it (my copy was an hour away back home, so I just rented it). Went back to her place and watched it. She asked a lot of questions during the movie (which her roomate warned me about before starting the movie). I didn't mind though because I do the exact same thing. She was sharp however because she guessed the ending. She was pretty tired by the end of it though so I wasn't really able to talk to her more after it was over, plus I had to be somewhere in 10 minutes, so I just gave her a hug goodnight and asked her if she wanted to get together again this week, and she said yes. I know it's nothing major, but it was the best time I have had out with a girl since my last girlfriend 4+ years ago and I'm just kinda busting right now! The thing that sucks is that she's not going to be here in college next semester because she'll be 3 hours away doing her student teaching. I'm graduating in 3 weeks but I'm coming back here to do my graduate work. She doesn't graduate until December but again I won't see her at all next semester. I think though whenever I see her this week that I at least have to tell her how much I've enjoyed spending time with her and that I have some feelings for her. Sorry this was so long, but again, I was just happy with those 4 and a half hours that we spent together on Friday night!
