xxx, thanks for actually taking the time to read my post! I'm a little pissed right now because the 1 roomate that I've had problems with all school year continues to get on my nerves. My theory over the last few weeks has been that he and my other roomate seem to think that it's funny to get me angry, so they do any and everything to piss me off. The 1 roomate who I was talking about continues to fight with me and the AC. I'll turn it off and 2 seconds later he's turning it back on. I turn it off, and he'll turn it back on, like he owns the stupid thing. He's so inconsiderate and immature I just can't stand it. Last week I had a 2 messages on my voicemail and I'm trying to listen to them and he's yelling like a 4-year-old "Let me listen, let me listen!" while chasing me around the apartment as I'm trying to get away from him and listen to my messages. Tonight, I always have my door closed when I'm in my room and twice he has opened my door and ran into his room while locking the door. As if he couldn't be any more kindergarden, he surprises me. So I knock on the door and ask them why they keep doing it. They both deny it while they're in bed so I leave their door open with the light on. The motherf*cker calls me 3 times on my cell asking me to turn off the light. I don't answer the phone because I saw his number on my caller ID and then he comes to my room (doesn't knock mind you), trying to open the door. I locked it and he's trying to talk to me so I just ignore him. And sure enough before he goes to bed he cranks the AC down to 62 degrees. I'm going to bed in the next hour so before I do I'm cranking the AC back up to 72 or more. I just keep telling myself that I only have to live with him for 3 more weeks and I just can't wait! He's getting on my last f'n nerve!

Glad you had a nice date Irishman. Don't worry about the student teaching thing next semester. 3 hours isn't really that far. If things get serious, you can always seen each other on weekends.

My future roommates and I had a meeting tonite. There will be 6 of us girls, and one guy, who is my friend. I am starting to freak out about this situation, because the original girl who was supposed to live on the 3rd floor of this house had to get out of her lease, so one of my best friends, Jen, is taking her spot. However, Jen will be living on the 3rd floor with me and Eric, the guy. And for whatever reason, she absolutely hates him. He was going to live on the 2nd floor, but tonite, one of the other girls asked me if I minded if she lived down there instead, and I know that Eric wanted to live on the 3rd floor anyways, so what could I say? So now Jen is really pissed about this, but she's pretending like she doesn't mind, because she doesn't want me to stress out about it, but I know she is really mad. And Eric never understands why Jen doesn't like him...he's not always very bright about these things. And I am going to be right in the middle of this. I really, really wish I did not have to move.

Damn, this quarter just started and I'm ready for it to end. It is kicking my ass in a serious way...

Good thing my office at work has a door. So I can study there too and no one will know. Sometimes people come in to ask questions or tell me something and I put the book away and just leave the papers out and pretend I was doing "paperwork," which is the most ambiguous term in the entire world.

Anyway, wish me luck, guys. I think this is the toughest quarter I've had yet (and I've had some tough ones!). And I don't think it's gonna get better in the next couple of years-- I think it's gonna get worse.

Times like this I'm very happy that I'm an insomniac. As much suffering as insomnia causes, at least I have more hours in a day to get stuff done.

Doesn't it feel like you don't have any empty space in your head anymore? It's always difficult, especially when you hate the discipline you have to fill it with. But then, you are always ambitious about having all highest marks...

You're right, sometimes it feels like there's no more empty space, and there's no room for new stuff. Other times it feels like it got too full and my brain did an automatic "delete" on everything, and I forget everything. Both ways, it's bad. I do have ambition, but I need to find a balance and find the right time to ease up on the discipline a little.

But anyway, I hate complaining. Big deal, it's hard, but I'm so lucky that I get to go to a good school and have this difficulty. I just remind myself of that so I can appreciate it... it doesn't always work though-- sometimes I just want to quit and live off of my trust fund, and be a bum.

I had such a thing too. With Liszt's etudes. Like a blank page. After a hard work it's not gratifying.
I remember even I, aka "The Ambitious and smaht-not-dumb", didn't have all the highest marks. Finally I persuaded muself that if I hate Biology and Geography it's not a big deal. Nobody will ever wish to know what I got. So fighting for them is a waste.

Man I just kinda got lovestruck just now. I went into an appoitment I had at 1:00 with a man from our career services center on campus and he was going to let me use his computer to work on my resume since he has the software for Resume Maker. Well I knew he'd be gone when I was working on it and I was wondering if anyone would be around to help me or not. As soon as I get in I met a lady named Katherine who's going to help me. I immediately couldn't stop taking my eyes off of her and the poor thing had to bring her lunch in so she could help me if I had any questions. It was easy and probably shouldn't have taken that long but I was in there an hour with her working on it. She complimented me on my bracelet (I had a green "Support Our Troops" rubber wristband on). I asked her if she wanted it and at first she said that she couldn't take it, but I told her that I had ordered other wristbands (that said "Yankees" on them) and that I'd probably get rid of the one I was wearing anyway. Finally she accepted it and I hope she remembers me when she wears it
