I found out that Montana was arrested in 1956 for violation of the narcotic laws. A text says he was 37 at the time. So I´m guessing he was born in 1918 or 1919. If I´m correct, then this guy seems to fit the mold:

John Montana did not live far from Shondor Birns over in Orange Village. Birns lived on N. Hilltop Drive.
