Question: what family would whomever runs LA be affiliated with? I'm assuming one of the New York ones, but which one? Probably the Gambinos. Tommy is John Gambinos' nephew. I read Tommy Gambino's younger brother Anthony married a Buscemi who is the daughter of one of the big shots of the Passo di Ragano-Boccadifalco mandamento back in sicily. No doubt out of the names on the list of members of the Los Angeles family Gambino is the most connected. According to Kenji Gallo's old blog Anthony was part of Tommy Gambino's crew in LA. But i don't think Anthony was made in LA. I read he was made in sicily.

tommy gambino carlo's grand son. No he isn't. While it's true that Tommy Gambino (Carlo's son) lives in California now, neither his nor his brother Joe's kids have anything to do with the life.

Yes Carlo's son Thomas lives in Beverly Hills from what i've read and is retired. Amazing his sons never got involved. Their one grandfather was Carlo Gambino and i believe their other grandfather was Tommy Lucchese. Talk about mob royality. The Tommy Gambino in the LA crime family is the son of Rosario Gambino of the heroin dealing Cherry Hill Gambino's. I believe he's in his late 30's or early 40's now. His 2 Uncles are Giovanni "John" Gambino and Giuseppe "Joe" Gambino.

I can see how someone might jump to the conclusion about Tommy being Carlo's grandson, but that's how Internet rumors begin. And before you know it, people take it as a fact. And let's be honest, Carlo's sons (Joe and Tommy) were barely in the life themselves (even though Tommy made it all the way to skipper). Their bread and butter was always trucking and the rag trade. They were well educated and raised their own children likewise.

Ivy are those member in retirement though? i thought LA family was extinct The family certainly is defunct. And was long before Milano died. I'm talking about a viable organization with a formal structure and ongoing activity. I was just listing the individual members still alive. Some aren't active. Others don't even live in LA anymore. Question: what family would whomever runs LA be affiliated with? I'm assuming one of the New York ones, but which one? Other families from around the country really don't have a presence there anymore.

I heard Tommy G thinks he's a big shot so he'd probably love to take he title. He is the only made guy whose really active. A couple years ago they busted an ecstasy ring in San Diego that authorities believe he financed. He wasn't charged, though. I remember reading that too Ted. Derek Galanis had a huge ecstasy lab going and they suspected Gambino might of been financing it. I think it was around 10 years ago. 2001, to be exact.

They used this one infamous freelance chemist whose known as Strike on the net. He wrote books on how to make that stuff under the name Strike then under his real name Hobart Huson he owned a science chemical supply house in texas. They unmasked him right on Dateline NBC. It was funny as all hell. He got 8 or 9 years in prison for supplying chemicals to several different ectasy labs in california and arizona including the one Galanis was running that the feds suspected Gambino was financing.
