Debz, my Art course was different. It was three modules; two were coursework, one was the final, five hour exam. My first module was death as a natural form, a topic I made and researched myself, using Francis Bacon, my favourite artist ever, as an influence; second course was urban loneliness, using Hopper as an influence; my final exam was exploring the nature of the snapshot. What makes me so pleased about the exam was I went against my teacher's advice to stay in the conventions of what had gone before in past years, and I did my own thing. It paid off. grin

Hmm, some interesting news.

Former child actor Skylar Deleon, who appeared as an extra in hit TV series Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, has been accused of brutally murdering a California couple by tying them to an anchor and throwing them overboard a yacht. Deleon, 26, and wife Jennifer, 24, have been ordered to stand trial for the murders of Thomas Hawks and his wife Jackie last November in an alleged plot to steal their 55 foot luxury yacht. The Orange County Superior Court heard, on Wednesday, the pair posed as interested buyers and demanded a test run off Newport Beach where they attacked the elderly pair with a stun gun before handcuffing and blindfolding them. They were then allegedly tied to the boat's 66 pound anchor and ruthlessly thrown overboard where they drowned. Police were alerted to the murder by fellow accomplice Alonso Machain who claims Delona delayed the planned killings by a week after discovering that Hawks, a retired probation officer from Arizona, was a larger man than first expected. Matt Murphy, the Deputy District Attorney, "It is haunting to think these nice, loving people were trying to hold their breaths as they sank to the bottom of the ocean. This is as cold-blooded as it gets." All the defendants have pleaded not guilty.
Hilton Attacked for Reportedly

Wow, more from the super bitch herself.

Hilton Attacked for Reportedly Dumping Tinkerbell
Hotel heiress Paris Hilton has been slammed by an animal rights group for reportedly dumping her pampered dog Tinkerbell because she grew too big. Tinkerbell is said to have grown past her ideal weight of 3.5 pounds, prompting Hilton to reportedly leave the pooch with her mother Kathy while she pampers a smaller Chihuahua named Bambi. But her alleged actions have angered the People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals, whose spokesman blasts, "It's a pity that Paris' heart doesn't match her pocketbook. Animals shouldn't be disposed of like last season's trendy handbag."

Wow, this may be one of the few times I'm on sides with PETA. If this is what she really did then she really disgusts me. There is nothing positive nor elegant about this woman. She has no class. rolleyes

The picture has to be hosted by a server (or whatever you call it). If you find a picture online right click it and click properties. In the window that pops up you will see an address to the picture itself. copy that address. Come on the board and below where it says add reply you will see a button for "image" click that button and paste the address in the box that shows up. Then hit add reply.

Hi everyone! I'm back. Well really, I've been back for a little over two weeks, but the internet was down at my house, and whenever I was at the office, I was too busy catching up on work stuff to get online much. But everything's back to normal again.

There's been a lot of action around here! I'm not even gonna try to catch up on everything I missed, but it's good to be back.

Thanks TIS! I'll look for that thread... how sweet!

Yeah, I was in Europe. I was with a bunch of cousins in the south of France and Spain for a couple of weeks, and then after they left I stayed behind with one cousin and went to Paris, where two of our friends met up with us. Extremely fun times, as you can imagine! But it's always great to be back home, in the end. smile

Tony F'n Clifton...why couldn't he go to the grave with Andy? lol

Funny true story, but when Kaufman signed on to do TAXI, one of his perks of his network contract was that besides himself, the fictional "Tony" got his own parking space.

No, that's actually Bob Zmuda, Kaufman's longtime manager/best friend.

Tonight I decided what I am to do with the rest of my life. I have been thinking long and hard over the past year what professional path I would like to go down. I had a long talk with my Mum and Dad and have decided I want to be a Primary Teacher, teaching kids from the age of 3-12 years. I think it would be a very rewarding job as its teaching kids in their first stages of learning.

The qualifications I need to get into the University course are Higher BBBC plus standard grade maths at a 1 or 2.

I already have my:
Standard grade maths 2
Higher Admin B
Higher English C

So this year I am aiming for Accounting - C, Geography - B, Art & Design - B and English - B. If that all goes well I will have the qualifications I need to do that course. Now all I have to do is work my ass off and hopefully get them!!!

That's awesome Debz, good luck!! I always admire elementary school teachers because (besides the importance of teaching kids in their most formative years) the patience necessary for dealing with kids that age is IMMENSE. lol Again though, good luck!

Debz, congratulations and good job on setting such a wonderful career plan so soon! I wish I was as organized and set as you are! I have considered teaching, as well, and I think it'd be a great job to have. Good luck! smile

Got registered today for my graduate program back at school plus got books. The great thing is I got done with registering and buying books in a little over an hour (when each can easily take an hour themselves). Not to mention that I had a credit on my account and used that credit to pay for my books! I can't remember the last time I had a credit on my account. I decided to treat myself to flip flops with my school's name on them at the bookstore grin

Debz, That's wonderful!! I always wanted to teach, but when I went to college there was a huge surplus of teachers who couldn't find jobs. I have always been a bit sorry that I didn't follow my dream, so I think that you're going down a path that you will love! Teaching is a very rewarding job, especially when you're dealing with little ones.
