Speaking of the Stones, I had their very first album and back the olden days (1964 or so) I brought it to a party and never go it back. It was good too. If I recall it had Spider and the Fly, I Know It's Only Rock & Roll. I guess I could have bought another album, but hell for $2.49 who has that kind of money. (I say 2.49 because one time going through my old albums that I have with me, I saw one by the Kinks and the price tag was still on it.) TIS

This thread always comes back out of nowhere.
2008's only half done, so here is half of a yearly top ten, no order:
-For Emma, Forever Ago Bon Iver -Alopecia Why? -Blue, Yellow & Red Born Ruffians -13 Blues for Thirteen Moons A Silver Mt. Zion -Vampire Weekend Vampire Weekend
Download them, purchase them, borrow them from a friend, ask me to put them up for download, steal them from the record store, do what you have to do.

The soundtrack from this performance, Aloha From Hawaii, was released on February 4, 1973. It reached number one on both the pop and country charts selling close to five million copies in the United States alone, and almost twelve million worldwide. Oddly the concert was not broadcast on American television until April of that year.

Long as I remember The rain been coming down. Clouds of Mystery pouring Confusion on the ground. Good men through the ages, Trying to find the sun; And I wonder, Still I wonder, Who'll stop the rain.

Lilo, that was a big record in the 70s (I don't know if you were alive back then), and it got a lot of playing time in our hose.
Of course, "Sir Duke" was the big hit from the album, followed by "I Wish" and "Isn't She Lovely." But "Ebony Eyes" was also a less played song that I liked a lot. Yup, I was around. I was young for my age but matured quickly.. In my family the favorite cuts were "Joy Inside my tears" and "As".

I asked if you like it or not.. Oh you Limeys should just speak English... I do like it, since I posted it in the Favorite (Favourite for those from the other side) Albums thread! I skip past the first 2 or 3 tracks sometimes though. Skipping is for girls

Beatles-Rubber Soul 1965 Personally this is my fav Beatles album. Rubber Soul is really the last great somewhat old-styled Beatles album. And is the ultimate timeless album. 1. "Norwegian Wood" 2. "Nowhere Man" 3. "Think For Yourself" 4. "The Word" 5. "What Goes On" 6. "I'm Looking Through You" 7. "In My Life" 8. "Wait" 9. "If I Needed Someone" 10. "Run For Your Life" 5/5

Many of my LPs are in Michigan so I can't check, but one of the LPs also has "Old Shep" which is a favorite of mine. Of that list, tho I love them all, I'd pick "Mystery Train" & "That's All Right" and tho I can't place the tune just now I think I liked "Milkcow Blues Boogie" too. If I'm not mistaken All the Elvis LPs I have (even his first couple) were under the RCA label though I know his very first recordings were at Sun Records. TIS
