Thanks for the kind and consoling words, guys! It's very difficult and painful. You don't quite realize how big a part of your family a pet is until they get sick, or worse, die. We have three other cats, and they seem to know what's going on. They've been extra loving, but at the same time, they've been keeping to themselves. I can tell my other male cat is really down in the dumps. He's the only one who would play with Mason (my dead cat).

We buried him in our flower patch, and created a little memorial for him. Again, thanks for all the kind words.
