DC, I'm also a huge cat lover, and I understand what you're going through. I've had to go through several cat losses, the most recent one being one we had for many years, and we lost the only dog I ever had (about 13 years) just a while back, as well. It's a huge heartbreak, because they're just like family, so I'm extremely sorry for your loss. Just take comfort in knowing that your cat is okay, now.

Thanks for the kind and consoling words, guys! It's very difficult and painful. You don't quite realize how big a part of your family a pet is until they get sick, or worse, die. We have three other cats, and they seem to know what's going on. They've been extra loving, but at the same time, they've been keeping to themselves. I can tell my other male cat is really down in the dumps. He's the only one who would play with Mason (my dead cat). We buried him in our flower patch, and created a little memorial for him. Again, thanks for all the kind words.
"Growing up my dad was like 'You have a great last name, Galifianakis. Galifianakis...begins with a gal...and ends with a kiss...' I'm like that's great dad, can we get it changed to 'Galifianafuck' please?" -- Zach Galifianakis

XXDon CorleoneXX, I'm sorry I didn't read your post earlier. As a huge cat lover I can understand how you're feeling and what a terrible loss it is. It's heartbreaking. Nonethess I strongly believe our pets -- just like humans --go in a better place when they die. Call it Heaven or what you like the most. It's a place where they are waiting for us. One day we'll join them. You may have heard of the Rainbow bridge. If you haven't, I'd suggest you to take a look at this site http://www.petloss.com/poems/maingrp/rainbowb.htm And even if you don't believe these sort of things, just think your cat is alive in your heart. He is in a cat-shaped spot. Anytime you'll need to meet him again, just knock at your heart door. He will be there. He will be always there for you. As long as you remember your cat he will be there for you. Memories are for ever.
I don't want realism. I want magic! Yes, yes, magic. I try to give that to people. I do misrepresent things. I don't tell the truth. I tell what ought to be truth (Blanche/A streetcar named desire)
