Remember the end when Margaret goes out to see that female pilot who's name was in the paper? Was that a real person? Only female pilot I know was Amelia Earhart. Probably a fictional character based on Earhart. I think that was a real pilot based on Amelia Earhart so how is that fictional to you?

I cannot find any mention of that name in relation to (real life) aviation. I'm just saying it was a fictional name and character.

Yall didn't even notice Frank Costello being introduced to the show at the meeting when Rosetti went off. He called one of the dudes Frank. im pretty sure that dude wasnt frank costello, im sure it was frankie Yale, who was first introduced in the first episodes of season 1.

That was Frankie Yale who had the "rat hole bar and warehouse in Canarsie".

I wonder why they had to create a fictional character and not use Amelia Earhart herself? Maybe something legal with her estate? They have used famous celebrities/figures such as Eddie Cantor, singers, Houdini, etc... Wonder why the aviator was fictionalized? Zoinks! Mystery here, Scoob!

I was thinking perhaps the years didn't coincide. I don't even know exactly what hear Earhart made her flight. Was it in the 20s? TIS

Gyp Rossetti is an annoying fuck and it looks like he's setting himself up for an ugly exit. When he was introduced at the start of the first episode I thought he was Albert Anastasia. But I like the character. He's a classic bad guy and he makes it a lot easier to distinguish the bad bad guys from the lesser bad guys.

No doubt he adds excitement to the show but he's got a hair trigger and he's got that "FUCK YOU" attitude about him. He killed the guy who helped fix the flat and he was all over the young gas attendant for nothing. People like that are truly annoying to me. I have to admit, though, that his idea to take over the gas station was a good idea. He didn't directly hijack the booze shipment but he DID prevent it from going through. He won that battle.

afs,
I think the big change in seasons is how Chalky is perceived by his daughter, Maybelle. Last season we saw that she was embarrassed by her dad's "low class" upbringing (i.e. his taste for the common food associated with poor southerners) and now, all of a sudden we see that Maybelle finds her dad "interesting". Last season she was really interested in her boyfriend, and now she isn't. Thanks SC! I didn't get that she was interested in her father. Gee! Isn't that a radical change? I'm not sure how I missed that hearing their conversation. The way she said her mother married her father, I never thought she means interest and not disgust. Gotta watch their conversation again.

Wow.... that Margaret Thompson is one conniving bitch! "Bone for tuna". Ha ha ha Yea, I thought at first that was a weird title for the episode. Yes, Margaret is learning the ropes isn't she? What's Billie's story? What's she after? TIS
