Scorching hot today

What a difference a year makes! Last year at this time I started one week without electricity thanks to Hurricane Irene. Today is absolutely GORGEOUS here.

One of the 10 best.....who used to do that on the weather report?? ....Bob somebody? The guy who had no meteorological credentials.

here in central jersey it is one of the nicest days of the year imo. around 78, with a slight breeze and almost no clouds. these kinds of days are perfect for any kind of activity. its still warm enough to go swimming, but not so hot as to be uncomfortable. kinda reminds me of the weather in southern california, only with less trendies/hipsters/vegans/weirdos around

Very windy today...nearly blew my wig off twice

Its got to be one of the worst summers here. been wearing socks and a fleeze in bed the last two nights.

Patchy frost tonight in Chicagoland... autumn is on its way. Gotta go pull the car in the garage - way to soon to have to scrape windows first thing in the morning!

We had had a couple of really nice weeks but the rain came back with a vengeance last night and it is fairly miserable today. Wet, windy and cold.......

Beautiful, clear, crisp autumn day. I wish I wasn't working. Would have been a great day for a hike.

All those on the northeast coast might want to start monitoring the hurricane. It's looking more and more likely that the NYC metro area (at least along the coast) is going to be affected by the storm. If (and it's a big "IF") all these fall in line it may get pretty bad around here. I'm even thinking of buying a portable camping stove in the event that we lose power for a few days. Last year I went a whole week without electricity, and that meant no stove, too.

klydon may even be looking at a big snowfall. Some weather models are saying that Mary Cas' area may be the landfall spot. What is looking particularly bad is that the storm will linger for awhile, compared to usual 6-8 hour durations.

Damp, foggy and misty!!

Last year we got our biggest snowfall of the year in late October. I think the only other measurable snowfall we got was about 4 inches in January. I'm beginning to forget was snow is like.

Anyway, SC, whether or not snow is coming, I'm refusing to bring out the winter coat.

Well, you're my barometer for stuff like this. I guess I won't take my winter coat out of the closet yet.
