Rumors have it that an anti-farting law will take place next year. Uh-oh. SC's in real trouble if this ever happens. Seriously, how about instead of stopping the sale of large drinks (which is stupid, because many places like Burger King have free refills), the city funds some recreational facilities where the obese can get exercise??

That was very sad. Are UK constables still unarmed? Here's one from The Land of the World's Stupidest Criminals: Police arrested a man and charged him with kidnapping, attempted sexual assault, unlawful imprisonment and other felonies. Seems he offered a girl a ride home. Once she was in his car, he drove onto a forest road and attempted to rape her. She got away. But the sap couldn't find his way out of the forest...so he called 911 to report that he and his "girlfriend" were lost--please come and get us!

There has been an alligator outbreak on Long Island (NY). Police have found five live gators (generally about 2-3 feet long) within the past week here. The local ASPCA is offering a $2,000 reward for information on this outbreak. Really? I had no idea there were alligators in LI?  Wow, scary. TIS

There used to be rumors of people who bought little baby alligators and then flushed them down their toilets. The gators supposedly ended up in the sewers and grew to monster sizes as they got older.

About an hour ago the FBI announced it arrested a man in a plot to blow up the Federal Reserve Bank in lower Manhattan. The suspect is believed to be associated with Al Qaeda.
That building is known to us "Godfather" fans as the exterior shot of where Vito met with the heads of the 5 Families just after Sonny was shot. It also played a key role in "Die Hard 3" (where the gold was stored and stolen). OMG! Can't help but think, "what if?" Thank God they caught him. How scary! Didn't realize the bldg had Godfather history. I remember Vito's meeting with the heads of families but I can't recall an outside shot. TIS

I drive it (130) once a month. It doesn't run very far, about 100 miles & (thank God) skirts urban areas. It is a Toll road first built to attract comm'l vehicles. They have ignored it, now the state has upped the speed limit to attract 'em. They still ignore it.
I-10 thru west Texas has a speed limit of 80 mph, but no one drives under 90. It's a straight shot from San Antoine to El Paso. To paraphrase LBJ, 'what fucking turns'. I-10 has gotta be 600/700 miles on that stretch. Nothin' but Roadrunners & tumble weeds.

A would-be rapper's burgeoning musical career hit a snag last week, when police pulled him over in the school bus he allegedly stole from the west side of the state so he could drive to Detroit to record music, according to a release issued by police Tuesday.
Washtenaw County sheriff's deputies arrested Josiah Daniel Curtis, 25, of Grand Rapids at about 10 a.m. on Thanksgiving after receiving a call reporting that someone was driving a school bus erratically on eastbound 94 near Zeeb Road in the Ann Arbor area.
"We had a unit nearby, and they saw the bus swerving and weaving," Washtenaw County Sheriff Sgt. Geoffrey Fox said. "When we stopped (it), he told us he was headed to Detroit to work on some music."
