well, the girl i loved so much, and dated for 6 years has finally truly moved on. she's fallen in love with this guy she's been dating for a few months. it sucks because i thought we'd get back together at least one more time to give it one last shot.

Yeah well Halloween is my favorite holiday, and its my boyfriend's.. but we can't spend it together because my mother decided to fucking force me to stay at WVU.

So instead of doing something fun like passing out candy, or going to a party with friends, or seeing a scary movie.. I'm stuck in my dorm room. Staring at the computer screen. I don't have a costume, because I don't have any money, so I can't go trick or treating or anything.. I can't go to any parties because most of them require a costume.. You couldn't pay me enough money to go to a bar.

So hooray.

Bogz, I'm sorry! Halloween isn't my absolute favorite like it is for you, but I enjoy all holidays, and I just really haven't gotten into decorating and celebrating them like I used to. I just put up some Halloween decorations yesterday, and now I get to take them down tomorrow. I don't have a costume, either - I wanted to make a killer bee one (for the Astros), but I never got around to it. Plus, it's raining, and we never get trick-or-treaters anyway. I need to get back in my holiday mode like I used to be in. Anyway, hope you can make the best of tonight, still.

I was going to go to the West Hollywood carnaval tonight... I think it's like the biggest Halloween party in the country, they're expecting like 400,000 people there. Ryan Seacrest is going to be the "Queen of the Carnaval" this year... OMG. Here\'s a link about it, and who's going to be there this year and stuff.

But anyway, advertisements aside. I'm not going, because get this-- I've got a bunch of studying to do. What a lame-ass reason to miss out, right? My mom's not making me stay home, on the contrary, she made fun of me for being such a nerd. But what can I do? So Bogz, you're not the only one... I'm with you. Except mine is self-inflicted.

Just got back from taking my 9 year old trick or treating. He was the Grim Reaper. The only thing I hate is people are suppose to leave their porch lights off if they're not going to give out candy. But some people don't understand that rule.

I miss Turner Classic Movies

We don't get TCM or AMC in the dorms.. the closest thing we get to a decent channel is Sci Fi.

I brought down some of my taped 'essentials'.. The Russians are Coming, The Russians are Coming, Harvey, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, The Magnificent Seven, Schindlers List, Yankee Doodle Dandy, The Great Escape, The Dirty Dozen, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, and naturally The Godfather, I and II

But I never have a chance to watch them because my roommate sucks and doesn't like old movies. Except of course when she meets someone new who DOES.. then of COURSE she likes that movie.

Example? She used to make fun of me for liking Bon Jovi.. now shes dating a guy who likes them and all the sudden shes all "SHOT THROUGH THE HEARTTT!! AND YOU'RE TO BLAMMEEE!!! YOU GIVE LOOOVVEE A BAD NAME!!"

Bah.

Why oh why did I get a cat?? I just discovered her calmly sitting in the midst of my (rather expensive) onyx chess set, methodically knocking each piece to the ground.

What the hell?? You call this November?! It's so hot out! Our high for today is 89 degrees... Autumn, yeah right. And I think this is like the dryest air we've had all summer, I feel like I'm in Vegas. I keep drinking so much water, and I'm still thirsty. But it's still a pretty day... I complain, but it's kinda nice. I'm gonna miss it when winter comes along.

Jeez, I'm addicted to the song, "Macarthur Park"! I love the version by Maynard Ferguson - it was actually the first one I listened to, then I found out the history of the song, how Richard Harris did it, and then there was a disco version, and the mystery and metaphors of the lyrics...very interesting stuff! Anyway, I've been humming and whistling it all day for about the past three days, and my mom's getting annoyed - she says she got to listen to it all throughout her childhood. Maynard's version is awesome, though.
