JustMe, we did something like that in Band a couple of weeks ago! It took us a while to get the hang of it, too. Our teacher used the metronome, and she had us doubling and halving the beats and such, while only playing on certain counts, as you said...I think she was just trying to confuse us!

Well, today is the last day of my lovely 9-day break. I don't wanna go back! But I know that as soon as I get back to school and get used to my routine again, I'll be glad to be back.

Gina, I definitely loved to go to school. I passionately followed my Italian Literature, Latin, Greek, English, History, Philosophics and Art lessons and was a brilliant student indeed. My only nightmare (literally) were Maths and the other scientific subjects I was obliged to take. Believe me, I used to have a nightmare then where I was the only one left in the class still to be tested. I used to wake up with tachycardia and in a sweat. The worst is I went on having these nightmares till I was in my thirties!!!

Can you believe it's already December?! I just got used to writing 2005 on the date and already it's going to change... Seriously though, is it just me, or did this month (and year) go by extra fast?

I don't know if you know Zia but December comes every year at the same speed.

I'm an idiot. I have no motivation for my uni work anymore. It's not because I don't want to do it or want to quit but I can't apply myself anymore. It's like I've burned out. I wish I had that motivation I had two and half years ago when I decided to return back to education after about 3 years out.

Are you sure? How do they do that?

I'm getting kind of burned out too, lately... like you said, I have no intention of quitting or anything, but it's getting hard to stay motivated.

English literature? Are you kidding me? I already need a dictionary handy when reading what he writes, I even can't imagine it combined with the British accent. I think he should go straight to Hollywood, and learn American accent ASAP.

Two Blind Pilots

Two men dressed in pilots' uniforms walk up the aisle. Both are wearing dark glasses, one is using a guide dog, and the other is tapping his way along the aisle with a cane.

Nervous laughter spreads through the cabin, but the men enter the cockpit, the door closes, and the engines start up.

The passengers begin glancing nervously around, searching for some sign that this is just a little practical joke. But none is forthcoming.

The plane moves faster and faster down the runway and the people sitting in the window seats realize they're headed straight for the water at the end of the runway.

As it begins to look as though the plane will plough into the water, panicked screams fill the cabin
