I'm not one of those from Anp (I'm assuming you're referring to the don & black angelo from those boards, who obviously had incredible amounts of outfit knowledge). I joked about my family relations due to the fact that this guy kept pressuring me, thinking I was going to openly say something like "oh I'm Joe batters grandkid" or "I'm cerones nephew" or something like that, which I would obviously never ever do. I am related to alleged gangsters, but that isn't important.
Everyone in Chicago is a "fanboy" of mooney giancana, not just the dickheads over at anp. he was the most beloved boss the outfit ever knew. To this day when his name comes up an outfit gangster will shed a tear & tip their hat to the man. He was a legend, fearless, had balls the size of cantelopes, and he'd get out there and fight for his men. Joe batters was known to the street gangster as some crotchety old man who owned a mansion and had no connection whatsoever to the street.
But I digress, like I said, one need only to look at the family secrets dinner photo at the Sicily to see AIUPPA at the head of the table, where the boss sits, with accardo in the consigliere spot to the right of him. It's not rocket science guys lol Joe B had more power in the outfit then mooney could dream of, fuck the picture all on has to do when compareing JB to mooney is see who's head got blown the fuck up and who died in his bed like real powerful boss do, ie rica and accardo. Your right its not "rocket scinece" to see that JB had the real power. Sam had balls the size of elephants but so did 99% of all the rest of the outfit bosses, the difference in power is mooney had a lot but JB had it all......soliai

Lol well Sam kept Obrien/Cerone under for a long time, never let them rise up, wouldn't let Obrien have his Melrose Park, so when he went away and Milwaukee Phil passed, the Obrien/Cerone faction made their move. They had to kill Sam, he would have started a war and would have never ever accepted a number two position to someone like Joey Obrien, whom he could not stand, which is well documented. So to answer your goofball ridiculous question, I think anyone would have murdered Sam, they were terrified of him. They just had to wait until Ricca passed to do the deed. lol Sam came back a broken man after he got kicked out of Mexico he had no where to hide, after that he came back crawling back to Chicago. I agree with u that they waited for rica to pass before splitting money head open. But not out of fear for Sam who was a broken down old man who had no more power friends or connection by this time. Sam was living of borrowed time when he came crawling back to Chicago. And as soon as rica died so did old broken Sam......soliai

Just goes to show you how good they are at staying underground. Like you said, the fratto case proved that Cleveland is still heavily active as well. A lot of it is also due to the younger generation not having records. Also, the way Aiuppa set things up with each crew being its own miniature family, there is less communication between crews than ever before, so its difficult to discern what is happening within each crew, as no one answers to a "top boss" anymore.
I'm working on a thorough response to the questions posed by you & PP in the rudy fratto thread, its just taken me a while, I apologize. I will try my best to explain the difference between prime outfit (Ricca/giancana) and modern outfit structure, as implemented by Obrien, Carlisi, & DiFronzo.

Black cmon bud you gotta come with some real knowledge, some real discussion material. Enough with the romanticism, you're just a fanboy from Nebraska or something lolol I'm sure you believe Sam killed JFK, RFK, and go ahead and add Lincoln to the mighty Sam hit list ...lol Stop reading double cross its horse shit and so is the author mooney brother, just trying to make his brother out to be the greatest godfather to ever live. What a gullible kid you are, I got a pot of gold I want to show you, I found it at the end of the rainbow kid. Just edit the brother part....soliai

200 is my max number, yes. 90 is my minimum. The outfit themselves would love for people to think its around 20-30 but it isn't. Marcello, sarno, and inendino alone made 20-30 new Cicero family members before Jimmy went away. You have to take into account Chinatown & The Heights & Grand Ave as well. Elmwood is the only crew not making new members, all those guys are up on the shelf for the time being Are you saying 200 made guys or 200 all together associates included?......soliai

Lol 200 made guys, not total. Total including soldiers & associates were looking at a number closer to 2,000
Also, titles didnt mean much during the Ricca/Giancana era (the prime). During Aiuppa's reign, they started to hold more meaning, as each crew became independent unto itself. No body will take you seriously with idiotic statements like this......soliai

ANYways, for example, let's take a look at the Chinatown area during the giancana period: you had Skids Caruso, one of Paul & Sam's personal soldiers from the 42 Gang placed in "power" down there. But it was more or less a false sense of power, because everything went through Taylor st. at the end of the day. Skids managed business down there, and had his own crew, but wasnt independent unto himself.
Now let's fast forward and take a look at modern day Chinatown: it is now a separate family/crew. Toots Caruso will most likely never talk with DiFronzo or do business with him unless its at a social function or some type of joint venture. Each "crew" is now more or less its own insulated family, with Cicero & Elmwood Park being the two dominant families, and Grand Ave, Chinatown, & Chicago Heights being the three smaller scale families. There are also separate crews within these families, so you never have guys answering to one top guy. You could almost compare it to a miniature model of the NY set up. It is extremely difficult to gauge membership because of this.

I don't understand why you guys don't think there are that many guys here in Chicago. With Chicago being a huge city, tons of corruption, and large Italian population. What's so surprising? I know it's annoying when people say "im from Chicago " but that's a reason ricobenes knows this stuff 200 made guys, really Nicky? 75-95 I can believe but 200, get the fuck out of here, only a retard would believe or say the outfit has 200 made guys. And I don't give a damn if he lives in Chicago, made guys in Chicago don't even know exactly how many made guys there is in the outfit let alone a Internet poster from Chicago.....soliai

If Sam Giancana was so beloved, why didn't anyone from the Outfit attend his funeral?
Read the news clippings and his family public statements. No one from the Outfit attended, except maybe Ricobenes. LMAO!
Best way to catch the smart ones? Get an idiot working for them.
