We are watching a thing called THE HATFIELDS AND THE McCOYS at the moment. Starring Kevin Costner and Bill Paxton about feuding families back in the late 1800's. Very good. Costner has always done that sort of stuff very well!! I never saw it but Costner won an Emmy for it a couple weeks ago. I don't even know what channel it's on. Showtime?? TIS

Hatfields & McCoys were on The History Channel. Very good, TIS. You may be able to get it OnDemand?
"Blue Bloods" is a fave of me & Mrs. Mark... BTW, Mrs. Mark is in the Selleck fan club with SB! I also see too much emphasis on Danny - waay too much. I recently read a story about the actress who plays his partner - Jennifer Esposito. Seems she has an allergy to gluten and has been battling a medical issue so CBS layed her off or something. That explains why she hasn't been in the past couple of epiodes. Hatfields & McCoys was very enjoyable, i streamed it online on sidereel. I saw that Blue Bloods story as well, I enjoy Jennifer Esposito on the show and I hope they can bring her back. Tom Selleck is the man!

Speaking of the History Channel which I admit, I don't watch often. I wasn't aware they had movies/tvs shows. I thought they were mostly documentaries. Also, has anyone seem previews of the movie "Seal Team Six" about the capture of Osama Bin Laden? Surprisingly that premiers on the National Geographic Channel (again I didn't realize they had movie). Looks pretty good too. TIS

Just saw The Campaign and Argo last night. Both were very enjoyable! ARGO was a pretty good popcorn thriller. Great WOM is making it have a long life in theatres. It might have a shot at winning the Oscar. It should def be in the running at least if it doesnt win it.

Tune in to ESPN2 30 for 30 and watch its special about the racial integration by James Meredith of the University of Mississippi in 1962. It does it against the background of the University's football team and its efforts to be No. 1. I watched this twice last week, olivant. It was very well done. The recordings of the phone calls between the Mississippi Governor and the President were interesting. As I tell my students, the President showed restraint and a tremendous respect for federalism by allowing the state to handle the situation until he determined that the state was not able or willing to handle it.

Very true. Of particular interest was the exchange between Kennedy and Barnett in the midst of an immediate threat of violence when the President told him to go up on the hill and handle the situation by talking to the people. Barnett tried to end the call by saying something to the effect, "I'll tell them you're pulling the marshalls out." Kennedy immediately jumped on him and told himnot to make any such promise.

Just saw the new "Blue Bloods" last night. They wrote Danny's partner, Jackie Curatola (actress Jennifer Esposito), off the series. Yep, what a shame!

I had stopped watching Hawaii Five-O because I found it sort of far-fetched and sometimes just stupid. I've watched it intermittently, but I did tune into tonight's episode. I saw on the ads that Terence Howard was going to guest star and I really like him. It was an incredibly good Danno-centric episode. SB, As usual, I fell asleep and missed most of it BUT I just caught it "On Demand." Good episode When you mentioned Terence Howard, I knew that name rang a bell but couldn't place him til I saw him. He was in the short lived (but I liked it) Law & Order L.A. He was my favorite character on the show. I recognized him immediately. And here he was such a nice guy on L&O. TIS
