Can you imagine if General Patton was around today? The press would have a field day with him. They did back in WWII and that was long before the sensationalistic crap that we have today.

Still, it makes me wonder about this. If Petraeus is saying that the CIA warned about Libyan terrorists attacking the compound and Obama is claiming he didn't have that information it seems that SOMEONE is lying. +1 I applaud your open mindedness, SC. Party affiliation doesn't mean that you shouldn't question your own elected officials. I'd also like to know more about what really happened there. But you know that we never will.

Still, it makes me wonder about this. If Petraeus is saying that the CIA warned about Libyan terrorists attacking the compound and Obama is claiming he didn't have that information it seems that SOMEONE is lying. I imagined he was warned about the same thing in Egypt, Lebanon, many other African and or Arab countries, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. The scale of uproar due to that movie was huge, the unrest broke rapidly across the ME and Africa and I bet the troops they could send could not cover all the embassies. Now you know there was only 4 killed in Benghazi. Egypt, Pakistan and Afghanistan could have easily be among likely places that people would break in and do serious damage.

Still, it makes me wonder about this. If Petraeus is saying that the CIA warned about Libyan terrorists attacking the compound and Obama is claiming he didn't have that information it seems that SOMEONE is lying. Didn't Petraeus say that other federal agencies within the lengthy intelligence bureaucracy had their say, rewrote that report he submitted or something to that effect? I always had the impression that when Benghazi happened, nobody knew what was happening. General chaos when something that sudden happened and nobody knows. So far the Benghazi conspiracy seems to hinge upon purely schematics. Conspiracy folks, give me some meat here to grill. Quit blowing hot air and then claim it's a hurricane. I remember on the eve of Pearl Harbor, the Americans having cracked the Japanese navy code learned of their plans to "attack" an American target and other European imperial territories. Which as both sides were preparing for war privately, that wasn't a surprise. Of course FDR and his government assumed it would be the Phillipines, never apparently entertaining the thought of Pearl Harbor being that target. Whether out of arrogance or lack of respect for Japan's military capability. (Which partly came from racism, and from the fact that Japan lost a major skirmish to the Soviets a few years earlier, and Soviets afterwards had their (initial) setbacks when invading Finland. Beaten by a country that got beat (initially) by Finland. Yeah I can see why Pearl Harbor was never considered.)

Only way to say it . I can only imagine comparing with my own experience with angry mob outside women's dormitories of University of Tehran over a decade ago. You just hope they don't come in.
