Well, maybe not finished, but there is a possibility they will go legitimate and will be considered just "businessmen", like already happened with many of them in Russia. It'a really shameful in my opinion: if crime goes "legitimate", it doesn't mean it disappears, while I often read idiotic statements in newspapers that "there are no more really active criminal groups in a certain territory because they abandoned crime and went legitimate". In my opinion, allowing organized crime to become part of legitimate businesses makes the situation look only worse than before.

Good point cool

Conan: To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women.

it depends what they mean, if an ex mobster leaves the crime totally and his crime group disappears with the time its business became total legit
but if his crime groups is still active not

What I meant is that, even if they become totally legitimate, the crimes they have committed before are still there and their money is still "dirty money", so allowing them into legitimate business is a shame even if they stopped committing crimes. They should do their prison time first (of course that will never happen, I was just speaking theoretically).

I don't know, but why then there are no big Russian mafia trials in the USA since the arrest of Vyacheslav Ivankov? At least I haven't heard of any in which a big boss got a heavy sentence.
