The official boss position most likely is vacant. After Chin died, the family probably saw no need to install a new one. Same for the other families. Chin is dead. Massino flipped. Amuso and Persico are in prison for life. The Gambinos making Cefalu the new boss was rather surprising when acting bosses and ruling panels seem to be the new way of doing things.

Kind of Surprised Gambino didn't get the spot since he was on that 3 man panel and the only one of the three man panel not in prison, but i guess the guy is in real bad shape health wise. When does Marino get out? He's a real powerhouse in that family and probably has the most support among the crews. Doesn't Johnny G get out soon? He's Marino's guy so we'll see what happens when he's on the street again. But maybe Cefalu will prove to be a good choice. You can't get much lower then Pete Gotti.

Ivy, you don't think someone has to be running the westside behind the scenes? Those guys are as slick as they come so we'll have to see somewhere down the road. Probably not until we get a high level rat will we know who the top guy or guys are.

Ivy, do you see any major error on the charts for the 5 families? The upper echelon is 100% correct right? At least so far we know.

Thanks LeroyJones! Yeah.. it takes some time, but thanks to communities like this the research does not take to much time. Putting together all the puzzles is the real work and put them on the charts. Ive printed some of these and spread it in my town grin

Looks good to me. Just a few things...

In the Genovese family, I believe Anthony Romanello is in the same crew as Patsy Parello. Barney Bellomo, Ernie Muscarella, and Artie Nigro all come from the same crew. Alan Longo was acting for Allie Malagone. And Sammy Aparo was acting for Ross Gangi. Though that may not matter depending on how you're doing the chart.

In the Lucchese family, Martin Taccetta and Ralph Perna are in the same crew. Ralph was last identified as captain.

But like I said, the rest looks fine. Good work.

Great charts Mukremin. Stellar work. As always.

I find it can be easy to mix up certain pictures if they'd been improperly identified at some point in time. You've done a great job matching them all up as far as I can tell.

Great point. In a sense, the position could be considered obsolete in NY, since the ruling panel has proven so effective in relation. Of course, Cefalu seems an exception, as Ivy mentioned with every official boss imprisoned. But with the string of names cited for each families admin. over recent years, Occams Razor tells us that the Feds have the right info, and there is no one "mastermind" controlling everything for the Genovese at this point.

Although some will contend that Sal Montagna is/was a Machiavellian genius that anticipated and exploited circumstance to navigate his way into becoming the Supreme Ruler of the Bonanno Family and/or Canada...but I digress.

Yeah, Ivy. They all came up with the 116th Street crew. They don't operate out of that area anymore, but they're still pretty cohesive. So if Mukremin wants to add "116th Street" crew over certain family members, that'd be great. Of course it's up to him.

But great job, Mukremin. That's very tedious work clap.

The most powerful crew around ( 116th crew) Are they also the west side crew? I hear people talking about the west side crew( Genovese) alot and i thought it was these guys just a secondary name.. Where do they operate now and are they active?

The term "West Side Crew" has become a generic term for the older Genovese guys over the years. But to be technical, the "116th Street Crew" was Fat Tony's uptown crew, where the "West Side Crew" was Gigante's West Village crew (mainly around Sullivan Street).

Fellas, what other known crews who are still around could be added other than the "116th Street Crew".

Adding all the persons on the right crew or group can be tough on these charts. I would need to reorganize things.

IVY:
Martin Taccetta and Ralph Perna are listed in the same crew as captains already.

And as for the Genoveses, the only way to put them in the same spot is beneath each other. I will look into that.

EDIT: heres the philly chart i had made long ago, its not accurate. But i will use this as a base.

As far as the Philly hierarchy goes, the recent indictment labeled Ligambi the boss and Massimino the underboss. Both Staino and Angellina were simply labeled "high ranking members" and Lucibello was labeled as a "soldier."

And just for the record, Joey Merlino was acting boss before going to prison.

See first page for the other families, those charts have not been updated since months. They are the same when i made them. So all feedback considering the other families is also welcome, have you information to share? Please do.

I heard Nicky Scarfo Jr is now a Capo in NJ, I don't know if this is true but some law officials said it.

Actually some sources state that Scarfo Jr is currently a soldier.

Nicky Scarfo apparently became pretty good friends with Little Vic Amuso in prison. After the failed hit on his son in '89, he moved up north and was apparently inducted into the Lucchese Family during the early nineties as a soldier, and later served time on gambling charges. He was also indicted recently along with Joe DiNapoli, Matthew Madonna and Ralph Perna, the last of which was identified as a fellow NJ Lucchese leader (the first two of course are panel members).

While some sources have claimed he was bumped down to soldier in '07, others continue to identify him as a captain in NJ. He's apparently pretty tight with Andrew Merola.

There's conflicting info, maybe Ivy will know... Sometimes guys are called Capo's even when it blatantly isn't the case, Loads of sources still say Roy DeMeo was a capo.
