I'm with you, oli. A Notre Dame victory will take the sting out of the Steelers missing the playoffs.

The first time I saw Notre Dame play in a live game was in the late 70s when the Meadowlands was new and they were playing Navy. My Uncle Jack took me with tickets, courtesy of his friend, Jim, whom we made a point of visiting in the section where he and his companions sat.

It turned out that Jim was Sleepy Jim Crowley, who was the last surviving member of the Four Horsemen of Notre Dame. He lived in Scranton and had many friends there. At the time I didn't realize the honor of getting to meet a living legend.

Irish will win because I bet against them. And I hate Alabama.

I could watch this if it goes to 77-0. I don't particularly like Alabama, but I loathe Notre Dame.

Alabama was amazing. They had speed, power and precision passing on offense. And they brought effective blitz schemes on defense.

I was disappointed in the result, but took heart in the fine season Notre Dame had. Next season was supposed to be the year they step up, so good things may be in store for the Irish. They are also poised to have their best recruiting class in decades.

Yea i cant believe that score..kinda thought bama would win but nottt like this..bama had 2 nfl backs and that was an nfl offensive line..Now jonny manziels texas am had to have a good team to have beatin bama.. i love to re watch that game..And johnny can run an offensive as a rookie and runs like a freakin track star..Manziel looks like a hurdler with those long legs..Yea Nd had no qb sorry you need a at least deacent qb to run any offensive efficently to at least put 3td's in the endzone..but bama is a semi nfl team...

Surgeons have reported that they have successfully removed Eddie Lacy's cleats from the front of Manti T'eo's jersey. Fortunately Lacy did not actually stomp a mudhole in T'eo. T'eo is expected to make a full recovery.

I pulled for the Irish, but I should have been clued in when Pitt took them to ot.

Anyone else? The Irish had a good season, but some dubious opponents. No creampuffs like Savannah State, but a few jelly-donuts.

Yea he looked like he was pushed around..but he was in the back field to disrupt the back, where another player should of been able to rapped the back up..Teo showed pleanty of speed,,no power ability to push off of a block..In that game real bad..
