Bah! I wish I didn't have to get up early tommorrow for exams. I've been itching to go on a PT Anderson binge, starting with Magnolia, all week... If I only had a spare three hours.

I've been listening to "One" by Three Dog Night (original version of the opening song to Magnolia), on repeat, for some time now... Using it as some sick psychotic soundtrack as I study for exams... I'm having a PTA withdrawal, if possible.

And what's worse, is, if this keeps up, I might end up like one of those incurable junkies that roam from city to city, county to county, in a trail of sexual devience, rapping the available victims at the available time. Making mad love to hookers in public utilites, killing them and stowing them behind big rocks and abandoned economy cars in the woods ...Club soda... good for removing those questionable stains...

I haven't seen Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Last time I went to Blockbuster I tried to rent it, but they were out of copies. I rented The New World instead, which was a marvelous film indeed.

B. True 5 star films can join that list only after many many viewings

Paris, Texas was a life-changing experience for me. That film struck an emotional chord with me that no other film has ever come close to doing. I hope you enjoy it, and have the same emotional response as I did. It truly is a remarkable film.

Everyone who loved Magnolia should see Short Cuts, which is a superior and very similar film about several lives in L.A. Altman's best from what I've seen and one of the ten greatest. Magnolia pretty much is a giant homage to it, but still remains great due to it's slightly different aims.

God damnit, it looks as though the only one available to me is Dead Man.

I ordered Le Samourai from overstock.com, I watched Paris, Texas 3 times in one week on TV, I bought Dead Man from Best Buy, and I have Aguirre downloaded.

I could never stand to only own a downloaded version of one of my favoraite films of all time.

Amazon.com... Don't be afraid to use it.

I get most of my DVD's off amazon, now that they've closed my local Suncoast, which was awesome, expecially with the discounts I got there... And the fact the I was in there so often, the staff knew me by name, and my taste in film, was awesome.
