They have mostly used books, but the prices are so much better than at places like Barnes & Noble...thus the name, right? Anyway, I used a couple of gift cards there today (from Christmas... ), and I got a bunch of great deals - several cool baseball books, Misery and Pet Sematary by Stephen King, 1984 by Orwell (because I've always wanted to read it), and I found Field of Dreams on DVD! It'll probably take me a year to finish these, but I'm optimistic.

The inspiration came from a writing prompt in English this school year, comparing 1984 to Brave New World...I ended up with some crazy essay about the world coming to an end, and I decided I wanted to read this book so that I'd have a better perspective.

I was by no means as good as I am now (naturally)...but we played "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and tore the roof off the place (for a bunch of 8th graders...it was damn good.)
