I know that within a la cosa nostra family rackeeteering business that the soldiers kick up the money through the ranks to the boss(es). But do the outlaw motorcycle gangs follow the same system or is it different?

It's through dues and while is always important, it seems less so in the Outlaw Biker World. They would rather have you have access to drugs, guns, women and motorcycle parts, lol...

I have a Harley, tons of HA's in Arizona, I hate being around them, they are rude, ignorant and they smell...

Also, what is the average membership size in a chapter?

There are a couple of chapters in Arizona, a small chapter like Skull Valley has maybe 6-10 guys in it. A large one like Mesa or Cave Creek upwards of 50 or more fully patched guys.

Last I heard there are about 250 patch holders in AZ, many more prospects and assocaites or "hang arounds" as they call em.

sorry I know this is old, but 250 patched HA's in Arizona??

I think it's closer to 1/5 of that. I believe they need 6 to have a chapter, and at least some chapters had trouble even doing that.

I can't speak for other Clubs, but the dominant 1%er Club in my area (their colors are blue and white)require members to pay regular dues of $100.00/month. Additionally, any member who conducts any illegal activity is expected to kick up 10% of the profits,in theory to the Mother Chapter, but normally the members chapter will get some as well. As with most things, this is not chiseled in stone, but it pretty much is the norm. Some members who have successful legal businesses or who have made a legal score may throw a few bucks at their local chapter and to the Mother Chapter.
