No longer will I have to take that 3 foot walk over to my desktop just to post on the message board, I can now do it from the comfort of my own bed That's great DMC! You'll find that's all you'll use. It can't get much easier (as I type from my lazy boy recliner ) What model did you buy? TIS

TIS [/b]I bought a Dell E1505, they are running huge deals on them this week. With all the bells and whistles on mine it came out to 1590 but I only paid about 1080 I have to buy the wireless router now but I am definitly liking the idea of sitting in bed and just looking up rather than over and up (I'm getting too lazy ) So now I'll have a 2500 dollar desktop sitting here collecting dust I actually bought the laptop for school purposes, one because its easier than actually writing notes and 2 if class gets boring I can check out whats going on in the news until class gets a little more interesting

DMC, Mine is a Dell Inspiron 2200 which I purchased in Jan.. Don't know how that compares to your model, but so far I am not having a problem with it. I got $150 dollar rebate (mail-in and took about 8 wks to get) and I paid about 60 for my router. I went to Office Depot, and they offered a $15 rebate on it (again mail-in). You shouldn't have a problem getting a connection between rooms. My desktop is in my living room and usually I keep my laptop in the same area. But my home is small and I think I'd be able to go all over my house no problem. TIS Edit: I just noticed you paid way more than I did. You must have a deluxe model.

That's amazing, Gi. Really... it's surreal. It looks like it's somehow edited with camera magic. And it's so cute how he kind of is freaked out by it and gets scared when he's about to touch it and it moves. The song doesn't really loop througout the whole ride... at one point there's another song, then it's quiet at some "spooky" parts, there are village scenes with like pub/bar noises, dialogue, a battle between two ships, etc. I guess they just put this one for the video because it'd be easier than actually picking up the music from the ride's speakers. I was at Disneyland like 3 months ago, which sucks because now I want to go see this new stuff but I refuse to go back so soon. And when I went, there was already a bunch of new stuff on the ride from the previous time I'd gone, and some other old stuff taken out, and so on-- I'd heard they were re-doing it but I assumed that was it. Oh well, maybe I'll go after like November when the weather cools down.

Thanks for the input on the ride, Zia! I've been to both Disney parks, thanks to my school's band trips, but I didn't get to ride this ride. But the magic of Disney is hard to deny when you realize how much hard work and skill is involved in everything and when you consider how successful it has become. I witnessed animatronics on my trip to Disney World, and I'll tell you, that stuff is just unbelievable. One of the rides showed this couple on a couch watching TV with their little girl sitting right in front of the set. This little girl looked so real to me - even from my seat, I was freaking out. No wonder Johnny was a little jumpy! Anyway, from what you described, and from what the video showed, this ride sounds awesome.

Sounds like a wonderful plan! I would think three against one would be a great stategy for us, but if we still can't win him over, I'm fine with the admiring from afar bit. He must look even better in real life. If that's even possible.

Cool link Gina!! It's been years since I've been to Disneyland (I only found out recently that they don't have the "Country Bear Jamboree" anymore ) I'm sure this ride will bring in a lot more vistors. At what $60 a ticket? I'm always amazed at how great most of these attractions are. Especially for children, it truly is "the happiest place on earth." My grandkids love it!!! Great for adults too. Zia, did you see on the news a couple weeks ago, Johnny Depp was at Disneyland to prommote the new Pirates of the Caribbean. He stayed and walked through the crowd signing autographs for over two hours. TIS
