Sure thing - glad you can enjoy it.

I only wish there was a place to pause the video or skip through to various parts...unless I'm missing something.

Anyway, can't complain when there's that much music!

That's great DMC! You'll find that's all you'll use. It can't get much easier (as I type from my lazy boy recliner lol )

What model did you buy?

Thanks TIS Yea I did. Went white water rafting in Montana. That was fun till I fell out of the raft on one of the rapids. The river was ice cold. It was great spending time with Becky. We did alot of camping.

I bought a Dell E1505, they are running huge deals on them this week. With all the bells and whistles on mine it came out to 1590 but I only paid about 1080 lol I have to buy the wireless router now but I am definitly liking the idea of sitting in bed and just looking up rather than over and up (I'm getting too lazy lol ) So now I'll have a 2500 dollar desktop sitting here collecting dust grin

I actually bought the laptop for school purposes, one because its easier than actually writing notes and 2 if class gets boring I can check out whats going on in the news until class gets a little more interesting lol

Since I'm sitting here in my recliner typing on my laptop, I can heartily endorse the idea. Get that wireless router, young man. It's worth it.

Seems more like a question for techie Mr. Babe. But I do know that I can pretty much get wireless service from anywhere in the house. We have three laptops and two desktops in the house, and they all work off the router with no problem.

Mr. Babe says 54 megabits per second (the G) is good, and should be more than enough for your needs. The Super G (whatever the hell that is) tends to interfere with cordless phones. I know that we have a Netgear, if that is also helpful.

DMC,

Mine is a Dell Inspiron 2200 which I purchased in Jan.. Don't know how that compares to your model, but so far I am not having a problem with it. I got $150 dollar rebate (mail-in and took about 8 wks to get) and I paid about 60 for my router. I went to Office Depot, and they offered a $15 rebate on it (again mail-in).

You shouldn't have a problem getting a connection between rooms. My desktop is in my living room and usually I keep my laptop in the same area. But my home is small and I think I'd be able to go all over my house no problem. smile

TIS

Edit: I just noticed you paid way more than I did. You must have a deluxe model. wink

I'm a computer iliterate why would you have trouble going room to room with a laptop? And how do you get a internet connection with a laptop?

Bogey, I've got another Johnny/pirate video for you! grin

The song gets quite annoying, even if it is the best pirate song (I guess it's on constantly during the ride), but the end is so cute. Johnny talks about the animatronics, and it's hilarious to watch the "face-off" between him and his character. He seems scared. lol

That's amazing, Gi. Really... it's surreal. It looks like it's somehow edited with camera magic. And it's so cute how he kind of is freaked out by it and gets scared when he's about to touch it and it moves. lol

The song doesn't really loop througout the whole ride... at one point there's another song, then it's quiet at some "spooky" parts, there are village scenes with like pub/bar noises, dialogue, a battle between two ships, etc. I guess they just put this one for the video because it'd be easier than actually picking up the music from the ride's speakers.

I was at Disneyland like 3 months ago, which sucks because now I want to go see this new stuff but I refuse to go back so soon. And when I went, there was already a bunch of new stuff on the ride from the previous time I'd gone, and some other old stuff taken out, and so on-- I'd heard they were re-doing it but I assumed that was it. Oh well, maybe I'll go after like November when the weather cools down.

Thanks for the input on the ride, Zia!

I've been to both Disney parks, thanks to my school's band trips, but I didn't get to ride this ride. lol But the magic of Disney is hard to deny when you realize how much hard work and skill is involved in everything and when you consider how successful it has become.

I witnessed animatronics on my trip to Disney World, and I'll tell you, that stuff is just unbelievable. One of the rides showed this couple on a couch watching TV with their little girl sitting right in front of the set. This little girl looked so real to me - even from my seat, I was freaking out. lol No wonder Johnny was a little jumpy!

Anyway, from what you described, and from what the video showed, this ride sounds awesome.

GINA.

That was awesome.

Haha.

Me, you, and Letz.

We'll meet at Disney, and ride the ride.

Then we'll fly to France, and whisk Johnny off his feet and away from that Vanessa Paradis girl.

Hahahaha.

Or we'll just admire from afar. Either/or.

lol

Sounds like a wonderful plan!

I would think three against one would be a great stategy for us, but if we still can't win him over, I'm fine with the admiring from afar bit. grin

He must look even better in real life. If that's even possible.

Cool link Gina!! smile It's been years since I've been to Disneyland (I only found out recently that they don't have the "Country Bear Jamboree" anymore tongue ) I'm sure this ride will bring in a lot more vistors. At what $60 a ticket? eek I'm always amazed at how great most of these attractions are. Especially for children, it truly is "the happiest place on earth." My grandkids love it!!! Great for adults too.

Zia, did you see on the news a couple weeks ago, Johnny Depp was at Disneyland to prommote the new Pirates of the Caribbean. He stayed and walked through the crowd signing autographs for over two hours.

I just found out that a girl I graduated with, sat next to in English class no less, just stabbed and killed an 18 year old from Weirton.

I probably knew the girl who was killed too.

I am mucho freaked out.

edit: I did know the girl. I wasn't really friends with her, but she was always nice.
