It was not not a huge amount, but maybe 3/4 joints worth. Heck I remember when it was ten dollars for a "lid" as we use to call it. Better not go there!!

Right. Jamaican always cost more then Columbian.

In Michigan it was "Mexican" that was the most available, at $10 an ounce, but the best (or maybe the worst in terms of potency) that I ever had was "Hawaiian". It was very expensive at the time ($50 for a half ounce I think) WOW!!!!


Of course this was in my youth when I was fearless and carefree.

It was also in the days before mortgages and college tuitions when you could afford to pay that kind of money. $5.00 now will buy me a 6 pack and I'll have just a good buzz.

My 16 year old mentioned that a boy we know smoked pot, and then quickly clapped her hand over her mouth, because she didn't want to get him in trouble (and didn't want to admit to her mother that she knew that pot existed). I told her that it was OK, that I was sure at 16 she knew kids who drank and did drugs, that I had been to pot parties at her age. And she replied, "Yeah, but back then it was LEGAL." For some reason, the '70's seem to have taken on mythic proportions with her age group, as the era of sex, drugs and rock n roll.

As my husband says (with a roll of his eyes), Thank God she's pretty.

Ha ha! Legal???? Funny story SB. Those were the days when parties started after 9:00 p.m. so no "straight" people would stop by, and if anyone was in attendance and didn't participate in smoking a joint, everyone was afraid they were a "narc".

The Hawaiian stuff was known here as "Maui Wowie". That was generally better than the Mexican stuff, "Acapulco Gold". One step higher than that was "sinsemilla" (literally "without seed") and the best available was "Thai Stick".

I have not even smoked a cigarette. I guess I am sub-normal or abnormal or something worse

No more than I. I never smoked anything. My classmate did, though, in high school.

I think expirimentation with marijuana is more prone to normality than tobacco. I mean, at least with pot the effects are a bit more prosperous than cancer.

I'm eating the Halloween candy. I knew I never should've bought it early!

What kind did you buy???? Me, I am not a huge candy eater, but when I buy Halloween candy I love chocolate, especially the special dark.
