u think we will get a verdict this week? crazy its taking so long, you have to think its good for the defense but who knows right..someone must be holding out a guilty verdict

verdict this week definitely!!! now that they have cell-phone jammers or frequency jammers that everyday citizens can get why dont all these mobbed up guys get some or something similar to screw up the feds trying to tape them or track them, I am sure they could access those through the black market they make them that are as big as a pen.

No verdict today ... I'm sounding like a broken record but at this point there must be a holdout or two that are not cooperating with the rest .. defense must be a little optimistic

Could be looking at a hung jury. If so the feds will tweak their case and re-indict asap, maybe even adding charges if they can get someone to roll over.

Unlikely, Robreno won't allow a hung jury.

After awhile he might not have a choice, you can only tell the jury to go back and deliberate so many times. But as you say he'll try to get them to reach a decision one way or another before it comes down to that. I would think though in maybe a couple weeks if they can't come up with a verdict he'll seriously have to think about calling for a mistrial.

Apologies for the novice question but what's the difference between hung jury and not guilty-does not guilty have to be unanimous like guilty verdict ? If not that means hung jury ? Just double checking - if this goes to him jury what are the chances they get re indicted before getting out .. Borgesi must be going nuts at this point

This trial has lost its luster,its getting on my nerves so much why even bother to look to see if they reached a verdict.Its ridiculous what in the world can be so complicated.So the next day where do they start? Does it go like this,so do you think he's guilty,yeah do you,how about you,no,why not,then the next day so what do you think is he guilty,no,how about you,yes.Is this what goes on 8 hrs. a day for 3 weeks.Come on these guys are not terrorist what is so complicated here,it boggles my mind.

As far as i know, not guilty is just that, the jury voted (usually unanimously) that there was not enough evidence to prove the charges. Hung Jury is when the jury can't agree on a verdict. Hung jury usually means they'll start the trial again with a new jury, though they might have to re-indict first.

If a guy is found not guilty he can't be tried again on the same charges, it's the double jeopardy rule.

Feel free to correct me on that, i'm not a lawyer but thats what i believe the terms mean.
