I was reading on Wiki. that he was the co-creator of the show Good Times.
I always liked George Jefferson's Mother on the show.

Robert Chew Dead at 52 Robert F. Chew, a 52-year-old Baltimore actor and teacher who portrayed one of television’s most unforgettable characters as Proposition Joe on HBO’s “The Wire,” died Thursday of apparent heart failure in his sleep at his home in Northeast Baltimore, according to Clarice Chews, his sister.
Mr. Chew, who appeared in “Homicide” and “the Corner,” as well as “The Wire,” also taught and mentored child and young adult actors at Baltimore’s Arena Players, a troupe he stayed with as his television career blossomed through his work with David Simon. Through the Areana Players Youth Theatre, he brought new talent to the attention of casting directors and coached the team of young actors who played students in the Baltimore City School system in Season 4 of “The Wire.”..

Now this is the Law of the Jungle—as old and as true as the sky; And the wolf that shall keep it may prosper, but the wolf that shall break it must die. As the creeper that girdles the tree-trunk, the Law runneth forward and back; For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack.

RIP Stan "Stan the Man" Musial Musial was among the top ten ballplayers of my lifetime. R.I.P. Stan the Man, and thanks for all the thrills of watching you play. Edit: Don Marco and I had picked Musial on our lists.

He was the last of the great holdovers (in my lifetime) from the golden era of baseball. DiMaggio, Williams and now Musial. Would lou brock be another or not? Not in my book. I'm talking about the likes of Willie Mays, Mickey Mantle, Duke Snider, Hank Aaron, Roberto Clemente, etc. Brock doesn't fit into that class.

In sports illustrated in the 1960s they show a picture of Roberto clemente with a diagrams of everything that is wrong with him. He even had a curvature of the spine. But he could still hit 330.

I feel like I jinxed him by picking him on my list. Don't feel bad, I had Musial on my list for the past three years. I don't think Ed Koch (former NYC mayor) will last the year. I just saw a tv news story about him and he didn't look well at all. I know he's in failing health and I meant to put him on this year's list but I overlooked him.

Linda Pugach Dies NEW YORK (AP) — Linda Pugach, who was blinded in 1959 when her lover hired hit men to throw lye in her face — and became a media sensation after later marrying him — has died, her husband said Thursday. She was 75. The infamous New York City crime was detailed in the 2007 documentary "Crazy Love." Pugach, who hid behind dark glasses for the rest of her life, died Tuesday at the Long Island Jewish Hospital in Queens. The cause was heart failure, said her husband, Burton Pugach, who spent 14 years in prison for hiring the thugs to attack his then-girlfriend Linda Riss after she spurned him. He was married at the time, and the heinous attack became an instant tabloid sensation.
