Staino is facing time for the two loansharking verdicts .. read somewhere that it could be 5 years ... Not sure how the house arrest time will affect that. Licata could be free already as we write this heading home to Newark.

I just saw staino on the news with pagano his attorney goes like he can't answer any questions till after sentencing

I think the guy on the left may be Anthony Borgesi but i'm not positive. Not sure who the other guy is. Maybe someone here from south philly might know for sure and could id them. But the guy on the left looks like Tony Borgesi to me.

Interesting that the two lower level guys, Damion and Battaglini were the ones convicted of racketeering conspiracy as well as Mousie. Ligambi is not out of the woods yet, he was the highest ranking guy on trial and he beat some of the charges but the jury deadlocked on the other ones. If I was him, I would be counting the days till a new indictment comes out including those deadlocked charges and maybe even a few murder charges thrown in as icing on the cake.

Jurors had to consider 61 counts in the conspiracy case. The verdicts were: not guilty on 45 counts and guilty on 5 counts. They were hung on the remaining 11 counts, including the most serious RICO conspiracy charge against Ligambi.

A major victory for some of the defense, but a major defeat to some of the others. The key here is that they nabbed Canalichio who is the center puzzle piece in getting all of these guys re-indicted.

I'm wondering why a guy like Canalichio, who everyone knows can tie a bow on the last 15 years, was reduced to a court appointed lawyer? Obviously, having a guy like Eddie Jacobs has paid dividends for these guys. Why didnt Ligambi and co. pay to provide him with some proven counsel? Reeks of greed and stupidity to me.

Was by the courthouse on Saturday - guy on left was walking out with Ligambis brother - doesn't help much but yes he's on the taller side and was wearing a Joe Hand boxing jacket which is a local gym in Philly - he may be a Borgesi but not sure. Definately south Philly so probably connected

I know it's not the smartest move but bent finger may be packing u haul. Borgesi is one of the most ruthless and he won't get caught up in any retrials. True gangster - did his time and stood up. Question is will he go for vengeance.
