Historically in Ireland there was never a criminal gang like Criminal Action Force so some media were very slow to get into CAF thing on till the criminals left a line of bodys in their wake.

According to the press reports CAF do exist within an organization but facts are hard to come by, like as you said like membership, numbers of members i think this was because the media was slow to get on to the story at first.
